Pictures of HHI rooms show a fireplace, Is this a real fireplace or is it a fake?

There's a fireplace in Big Murggie's Den, which is near the check-in desk. Not sure if there are any in the rooms, maybe in the GV's. The studios didn't have them.

There are no fireplaces (fake or real) in the guest rooms that I am aware of. Although I have never been in a Grand Villa there.

There is a very nice fireplace in Murgy's Den and yes it is real.

The DVC sales book volume 7, edition 3 page 31 definitly shows a fireplace in what looks like a room, Maybe it is the grand villa.

Behind that happy family on p. 31, there is also a "real" dining room with table and 6-8 chairs. This only exists in the Grand Villa. The diagram of the GV to the right alos shows an drawing for the fireplace in the GV. There is no similar drawing in the diagram for the 2BR.

We used the fireplace in our GV last March.

I brought those little "Firestarters" you can get from Yankee Candle - and, if I remember correctly, we got the firewood from the resort.

The fireplaces as mentioned are only in the Grand Villas. Last Christmas we were lucky to snag one of these and everynight one of us fell asleep by the fire. It was absolutely wonderful. We also bought some firestarters and guest services will provide you with some wood. We did Smores on several nights.

Alas, I waited too late to snag one for this year's Christmas...we had to settle for two- 2 bedroom units. Maybe the waiting list will come through...you never know!

This is a photo of Big Murggies Den- a public area at HH- similar (at least in purpose) to Papa's Den at OKW.

The only villa fireplaces are in the 5 GV's here at HH. As mentioned above, wood is provided. The GV's are wonderful!!

I also used the fireplace in the GV last Christmas. Wood was provided in a basket just outside our door. After a few unsuccesful attempts to get the fire started, my wife suggested using the dried out pine needles which were plentifully laying outside. These worked incredibly well, and we had a fire going all Christmas Eve and Christmas. Very nice.

When someone asked at the member social in the GV last month, the DVC cm told them the fireplace was gas. So, it's really wood? i didn't look that closely at it.

Here is a photo of the GV living room, taken from the 2nd floor landing. The fireplace is definitely a woodburner!

It looks great. We are thinking of staying at HHI fall/2002. Not sure about the 7 month booking for November! I think I'll put this on a separate post.

LOL, somebody better clue in the DVC reps that do the socials! She said the wood was "just for looks" !
