Help! Arriving Sanford after Alamo is closed

We’re flying into Sanford late on December 22nd. I usually get a rental car from Alamo, but it showing that they’re closed (flight arrives at 11:30pm).

I can make reservations at a Sanford area hotel and pick up a rental car the next morning at the Sanford airport.

How do I get from the Sanford airport to a local hotel? The ones that have airport shuttles stop running at 10pm.

Will there be taxis available at midnight at Sanford? Seems like a stupid question, but I didn’t expect to arrive and not be able to get a rental car until the next morning.

I just Googled for "Sanford, FL taxi" and there are listings for "24 Hrs Taxi."

I would call customer service as I just went on nationals site (understand enterprise, national, alamo are all owned by enterprise) and on nationals site they state after hours available but then I tried book and states error so at least on nationals site there is a discrepancy which would make me call.

You should call Alamo and check with them for sure. I'm pretty sure I was told before that someone will be there till all the planes arrive.

Usually at the non 24 hour airports rental car staff will stay for the last flights. You may have to go to the National or Enterprise counter instead. Make sure you put your flight number on your reservation so they know when to expect you. Like lvdis said - call the location to verify.

It was not offered because the location is closed when you arrive.

Don't worry Alamo is perfectly aware of the flights coming in on time and delays, they stay till last flight they know exactly how many reservations they have, they been there along time, plus Sanford is a tiny airport, just move up yr time to 9 or 930 pm, fyi, alamo is the farthest.. just follow the crowd everyone uses alamo.
