Heavy cream left out of fridge for a while - is it still okay to use?

Last night I accidentally left out 2 unopened half-pint containers of heavy cream for about 3 hours. The expiration date is December 24th. I have no use for them (I had bought too many) but I was going to give them to my dad since he's really interested in making butter with them. My question is, how quickly do you think heavy cream would spoil? Do you think they're still okay to use?

It should be OK, if it has soured use it as a substitute for buttermilk in pancakes or waffles, or as a substitute (although thinner) for regular sour cream in recipes.

Does it say "Ultra Pasturized" on it...if so, it will last forever!! LOL...I think over night, if it had never been opened will be ok
