Has anyone used the online dating websites Christian Mingle or Catholic Match? If so, was it worth it? Or is Match.com the best option overall?

It really depends on your area and how much you are willing to spend. In my area Match was the least used. Plenty of Fish, Tinder and Bumble seemed to have more activity due to being able to communicate without paying.

The only way to know if they will work for you is to give them a try.

I know a couple who met through Christian Mingle and are now married.
Around here many people are using Hinge. I know three couple who met from there. Two are married now.
Good luck!

My friend met her husband through a Catholic dating site. They've been married 8 yrs and have a beautiful daughter together. Both had children from previous marriages/relationships.

I hit on my wife in a coffee shop. And despite that she's nearly half my age, we've been together for 14 years. 🤷‍♂️

Tinder, bumble, Grindr and Hinge, and maybe even okcupid appear to be very popular with the hookup community as many of my students use them and primarily just want to hook up. I do think that match, plenty of fish, JDate and the like are geared towards folks looking for Mr/Ms Right rather than Mr/Ms Right-Now.

Hinge seems to be the best for people looking for relationships. Tinder and Bumble seem to be more casual, and I don't know anyone who used OkCupid or Coffee Meets Bagel.

I think Match.com and the niche websites, like Christian Mingle or Farmers Only, have a much smaller but targeted demographic. And by smaller, I mean there may only be a dozen people in your area who meet your basic filters. But if you know what you want and are serious, they probably have a higher success rate.

Also I did see a recent graphic saying The Right Stuff is the most popular app in a good number of states, but I'm not getting into that can of worms.

I mean, Christian Mingle and Catholic Match would be for two separate religions and wouldn't be catering to the same demographic. Plenty of Fish, Coffee meets Bagel and OkCupid would be more in line with general non-religious specific dating sites.

The truth is it's harder to meet people as a man, especially if you're out of your 20's. The very best thing you can do is the below:

1. Go to a hair stylist or barber and have them give you a haircut for your face.
2. Find a personal shopper to help you with your look, make sure what you're expressing with your clothes is what you want to say.
3. Speak with a speech therapist for communication tips
4. Develop hobbies that have a wider audience than your own gender. Hiking groups, Meetup events, or gaming groups.

People spend like 6 seconds making a decision about someone. The biggest mistake people make when they're looking for a partner is that they don't work on themselves first.

Think of it like you're selling a house. Modernized houses with great paint jobs that have had their termites removed and their gardens cultivated sell. Shacks with overgrown weeds, plumbing from the 50's, and bad electrical don't.

I see an article on speed dating, maybe you can get some people together in your parish to create an event, You might meet someone along the way, who knows?

Good luck
