Harry Potter for ride chickens

Absolutely! The theming alone is quite amazing. I would go just to wander around and look at all the details.

HP is comprised of two park 'areas'. The theme is fantastic. My mom never saw the movies, but loves the HP areas. There are shows and shops and food with little details and easter eggs. I watch the kids with the interactive wands discover 'magic'. If you are a ride chicken, just skip the two headliner rides (one is each area). Be sure to try the Hogwarts Express train ride between the parks. That is wonderful (and chicken-worthy).

Yes! Definitely! We love eating in Three Broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron. have a butterbeer and walk the streets. Visit Olivanders where they recreate the "wand choosing Harry scene' from the movies. Shop at all the places you read about in Diagon Ally and Hogs mead. The train is amazing and it is just a simple train ride so everyone can ride it. Talk to the Night bus Driver outside of Diagon Ally. They an orange fizzy drink at the Hoping Pot in Diagon Ally. Get an interactive wand at Olivanders and "cast spells" at places in Hogs mead and Diagon Ally. Go visit the goblins in Gringotts. Walk through the queue for the Forbidden journey ride even if yo dont ride it. The queue shows all kinds of thing from inside hogwarts. Go to honey dukes and the Weasley's shop....watch the dragon breathe fire from the top of Gringotts.....there is SO much to do aside from rides. And...dont forget the ice cream shop, florean fortescues...

As a matter of fact, we are going in May when it will probably be quite crowded so when the ride lines are long, we are just going to meander through Diagon Ally and Hogemead and just enjoy all the things aside from the rides. :D
