An Almost Christmas Story (Disney+)
Premieres Friday, Nov. 15 on Disney+
Remember a few years ago when the tree that was brought to Rockefeller Center to be New York's big Christmas tree housed an unwitting transplant in a tiny owl? (Don't fret; it was ultimately released back into the wild.) That story serves as inspiration for
An Almost Christmas Story, a short film about an owl who befriends a lost girl as the two search for their parents in the Big Apple. Jim Gaffigan, Phil Rosenthal, Natasha Lyonne, and John C. Reilly provide voices.
The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland (Prime Video and Hulu)
Premieres Friday, Nov. 15 on Hulu and Prime Video
Like
Alien vs. Predator before it,
The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland knows a good mash-up when it sees it. The animated film, based on the book by Carys Bexington, takes the stories of
Alice in Wonderland and
'Twas the Night Before Christmas and squishes them together to show what happens when jolly ol' Santa Claus (voiced by Gerard Butler) gets a letter from the grumpy Queen of Hearts (voiced by Emilia Clarke).
Jingle Bell Love (Roku Channel)
Premieres Monday, Nov. 18 on Roku Channel
New Kids on the Block are now Old Men on the Clock, which is why falsetto "Please Don't Go Girl" singer Joey McIntyre is now playing a widowed dad in a Roku Channel Christmas film. Jack Cooper (McIntryre) visits his late wife's hometown, which for some reason his daughter thinks is a good place to find him a new wife, who happens to be the owner of a cafe that needs help to stay in business. Jack proposes a Christmas concert to raise some funds, which should give McIntyre a chance to show off those high notes again.
The Merry Gentlemen (Netflix)
Premieres Wednesday, Nov. 20 on Netflix
Cast: Britt Robertson, Chad Michael Murray, Marla Sokoloff, Beth Broderick, Michael Gross, Maxwell Caulfield, Hector David Jr., Colt Prattes, Marc Anthony Samuel.
Description: Sometimes, Christmas movies are about a family-owned bakery getting saved by a Christmas decorating contest. And sometimes, Christmas movies are about a family-owned bar getting saved by male strippers. Netflix's
The Merry Gentlemen is the latter, with a woman (Britt Robertson) helping her mom's drinking establishment stave off bankruptcy by adding a Christmas-themed male revue, featuring half-naked men, one of whom is played by Chad Michael Murray.

Dear Santa (Paramount+)
Premieres Monday, Nov. 25 on Paramount+
Jack Black famously did battle with the Devil in
Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, but he's going to the other side in
Dear Santa. Black plays Satan in the family Christmas film about a boy who writes to Santa Claus, but because of the government's repeated reductions of public school funding (OK, that's me editorializing), he misspells the name of the letter's recipient, and the Cloven One shows up to grant his wishes — and steal his soul — instead.
Our Little Secret (Netflix)
Premieres Wednesday, Nov. 27 on Netflix
Lindsay Lohan returns to Netflix for this holiday rom-com about a woman who spends Christmas with her new boyfriend's family, only to realize that her ex-boyfriend (Ian Harding) who proposed to her a decade ago is also spending Christmas there. Trying to impress her potential new in-laws, she begs her ex to keep their previous relationship secret. Something's gotta give here! Kristin Chenoweth also stars.
