I just spent @$65 at Kohls on some school stuff and a day later got a 30% off pass. Can I do a return and immediate repurchase or will they refuse?

Don't you hate it when that happens? ;)
Can't speak for the store you shop at, but at the one I shop at....
You could return the items and rebuy them using the 30% off coupon, BUT...it will be at the current selling price. for example you bought a backpack that was $40 for 50% off, so you paid $20. Well today the same backpack is only 40% off, so it would be $24 - 7.20 (the add'l 30% off). so you would be paying $16.80 instead of the $20. Make sense. They wouldn't give you the 30% off of the 50% off price, because that would be kinda like double dipping. Make sense? When they choose the sale prices during the 30% coupons, the take that into consideration. So % off aren't always as high when the 30% coupons are out vs. just the std 15% ones for Kohl's charge customers. I know very wordy. Hope I explained that clearly enough. You could always call and ask at your store how they would handle. That's probably your best bet. Good Luck. :goodvibes

I thought of that and what's ironic, when the weekly ad came out (during which time I can use the coupon) two of the items were pictured and were cheaper than what I bought them for. So I'd be saving even more! I'm going to give it a go on Wed. and hopefully I can save me a few bucks.

Cool! Sometimes that does happen and usually it is for seasonal items that are less likely to be restocked. But more often, I have found the reverse where the % off isn't quite as good. But Lucky for you, it's a better deal. I have found our Kohl's to be very accomodating and pleasant to shop at. That's why I shop there quite a bit. Plus they don't tack ANY exclusions onto their coupons unlike other large mall retailers (can you say Thanksgiving Day parade sponsor :rolleyes1). That store I just mentioned is dying a slow painful death here at our mall. Kohl's has been killing them ever since they opened up. Kohl's does so well here that they're putting a 2 story store in about 8 miles away from the current one. And it'll do well too. Cool, two Kohl's to choose from, more choices for us. YAY!!! :goodvibes

a friend of mine went in the night before thinking that was the day it started, they gave it to her anyway.

They will do it. Just take in your receipt, your 30% off coupon, and your Kohl's charge. I have done it before with no problems!

yep, you don't even have to lug everything in with you.. just the receipt.

Also, you can ask them to do a price check on the items first; have your calculator ready to figure out if it's cheaper with the 30% off coupon, or the price you already paid.

I love Kohl's! I have received the discount just by taking my receipt. Kohl's is my favorite store and they bend over backwards to help their customers!

I hate shopping at Kohls and have basically stopped going there because I always wind up irritated. DS was in desperate need of a few things for school and he is SUCH a pain to shop with (15yo). Got up Sunday morning, checked my email and drove 25 miles to Kohls to hit the last day of tax free shopping weekend. Spent $140 on him. Nothing was a great bargain, but anything to get it over with. Got home and had an email from Kohls with a 20% off coupon that was supposed to have been good all weekend starting Friday.

So do I drive 25 miles back to get a refund or wait until MOnday and lose approx 10% because the sales tax would ring up? Fortunately, my daughter who was visiting announced she was going to town for dinner and I begged her to make the trip for me. She was reluctant, but it was relatively painless. The first person tried to give her store credit even though she had all the receipts, but the second person called over just refunded it all and rerang it.

All the more reason I'll avoid Kohls in the future. Had it not been such a pain shopping with the kid, I would have just returned it all Monday and shopped elsewhere.
