Goofy's Kitchen price increases

Oof...I've come to expect yearly price increases at Disney restaurants, but an $11/person increase as of August 23 for lunch/dinner feels really steep. As far as buffets go, Goofy's Kitchen has been my favorite over the last few years across WDW and DL, but with my kids advancing to "Disney adult" prices and this on top of it, I don't see us going back anytime soon.

I know with character meals you're paying for characters, but $75/person (a 17% increase) is a really hard sell. Really hope this rate of increase is what we can expect to see at other Disney table service options over the next few months.

It's unclear at this point from the bloggers I've seen who've reported it. I'm hoping seasonal!

Update/edit: After some googling, it looks like there was a seasonal increase for Halloween last year...so hopefully this is just in line with that!

When I went to Goofy's Kitchen for Breakfast back in May 2022, I believe I paid like $62 for adult...

Breakfast is a little cheaper at $65 for adults and $36 for kids and seems to be the same price at Storytellers if you wanted to do that instead. We booked the brunch at Storytellers for September.

If they are going to increase the price they need to increase the food quality and variety of characters. This one only makes sense at a certain price point. I think they may be exceeding it.

My family of four could/rather order Uber Eats and have Steak/Lobster for lunch/dinner. $250+ can buy a lot of food elsewhere.

Goofy's is one of my favorites, but if I'm spending $75 per person on a meal I might as well spend $14 more and do something fancier like WOC dessert party or RBT premium Fantasmic dining. Crossing my fingers it's a seasonal increase!

They charge more for their holiday meals than for the normal setup.

I wonder when the buffets at DW will hit the $100 mark. But they might do so at DL first.

The only place I could see them doing that now is if they brought back the California Grill brunch, or an equivalent at another signature restaurant. As places like Goofy's Kitchen keep increasing over the next 5 years, I think we'll see prices plateau at $99 for a while.

We definitely appreciate the kids pricing at these character meals being so much lower so far, but it will be a big jump after our kids start becoming Disney adults. At DLR we do mainly QS meals, with a handful of TS meals sprinkled in throughout the year. The priciest of all was the Napa Rose Princess Breakfast which was crazy expensive but also an incredible experience for our kids.

That was the price increase for our Halloween meal there last year. After that ended, the price went back down to normal.

And don't forget extra for alcoholic drinks and 18% automatically added for tips.

The reason why Goofy's Kitchen has increased it's prices is they have families that like it for these reasons and the reasons are as follows,
A. The fun appeal
B. A delicious buffet with different foods
C. Characters
D. All of the above
If you were to choose a logical answer you most likely pick C while most pick C and D. But for the price that Goofy's Kitchen costs to eat there I do agree that there should be a character variety like they used to do in the 90's-2000's because why people go to character breakfasts is so they can meet characters without having to wait in line at the parks. But if Goofy's Kitchen expanded it's buffet to add more foods that's where the price increase would fit in great. And they should lower the kids prices for Goofy's Kitchen because when you get the general picture kids eat very little for breakfast such as cereal and waffles but kids eat a lot during dinnertime. What Goofy's Kitchen should add is a character variety and have different characters such as Hercules Aladdin Jasmine Alice In Wonderland Snow White Tiana Mary Poppins Peter Pan Wendy and Prince Naveen in addition to the Fab Five and that would help Goofy's Kitchen a lot due to this price increase

We did both last week. For us, Goofy’s had a much better selection for breakfast/brunch. We did the brunch for Storytellers in 2022. It seems the selection is less now.
