I am trying to figure out where I want to go for a birthday weekend the end of september. I have heard that there are some beaches on the Cape that are good for sea glass and was wondering if anyone knew which one(s)? (The kids and I like to collect it)

My IL's live in Orleans and we have stayed in Hyannis several times (Cape Codder) so I'd like to try someplace different - but not as far as the Provincetown end.

Another option would be to go to Mystic CT. and do the seaport (have done the Aquarium several times and love it) Any suggestions for hotels in that area?

TIA!

I remember finding some gorgeous rocks and shells in Wellfleet. I can't remember the name but I believe it's part of the national seashore on the way to Jeremy Point (hopefully some Cape Codders will know what I'm talking about). You go through Wellfleet Center to park and hike down to the path. Over the dunes and you're in heaven.

I thought I read somewhere that Falmouth was a good area for seaglass. I can't remember where I read that though, but it always stuck in my mind......
