Any tips on how to do an adult trip extra special? Lol We have 5 kids (3-19 years), and we are finally getting to go away just the two of us! And we cannot wait!!!! We plan to dine all the places we wouldn’t take our littles and want to do things we wouldn’t usually do with them….but we need ideas in case we aren’t thinking something! Anyone else to childless and have any great tips? Or you solo travelers, what do you do when you go that may make you go, this is so easy without kids, thank goodness I don’t have any with me? lol

What you should do really depends on what you want to do. Here are some of my ideas.

I'm not into roller coasters and other thrill rides, so for Early Entry/rope drop, I still make a dash for Fantasyland even without kids because I know Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan will get busier as the morning goes on. If you're more into thrill rides than kid rides, you could head for those instead.

Take your time walking through World Showcase. There's a lot to see that is less visible when you're trying to keep track of several people, including live performances.

Get snacks or drinks when you see something interesting, without regard for how much it will cost (and how much time it will take) to get something for everyone.

Enjoy the fireworks and evening shows. You have increased flexibility for where to stand (and how early you need to find a spot) when you're not trying to make sure everyone can see well or skipping the fireworks and shows entirely because it's past bedtime.

Go resort hopping to places you might want to stay in the future (or places you just want to see in person).

Have fun!

Drink around the world, Disney springs, see cirque, catch a concert at house of blues, bar hop between resorts of the Skyliner or monorail, putt putt, golf, bowling at the springs, watch the Irish music and dancers at Ragland Road, pool, dive the Nemo tank at Epcot, dolphin swim at Epcot, do a RunDisney event, watch the fireworks from one of the monorail resorts or restaurants, Olga’s Canteen at HS, Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk, Atlantic Dance Hall at the Boardwalk, watch the magic shows and entertainment at night on the Boardwalk, see a show at the Edison, do a behind the scenes tour, see hoop Dee doo revue

We did our first adults only trip in 2022, our youngest daughter was a freshman in college and plays softball at her school, they played spring break in Clearwater so we took a few days before and went to Disney. It was awesome!!

We didn't really do any special events but it was during flower and garden so we had a blast eating and drinking at all the booths. Mostly we did all the attractions that the kids complain about - Hall of Presidents, It's a Small world, all the trails in AK, you get the idea.
And we found ourselves at the lounge in our hotel for a nightcap and bedtime snack!

We will have the opportunity to do it again this spring break and we can't wait!

Favorite ADR's: Topolino's (dinner and breakfast). Boma (dinner) and enjoy animal viewing.

We've stopped doing ADR's at the parks as we don't want to spend too much time eating. We now just snack our way around. Our old favorite was Le Cellier but we had a couple bad meals (filet mignon was gristly yuck), though everything else we ate there was good and the atmosphere is lovely.

Watch fireworks at EPCOT with a drink and snack (scope out a bench ahead). Take your time walking out after the crowds sprint for the exit. Germany has a great bakery as does France.

Rent a boat at The Contemporary. Bring coffee and snacks (it is all about the snacks!) We haven't done it for a long time, but we found it relaxing.

Lazy afternoon at the pool is always a great break from being busy.

Enjoy!!

My one recommendation: Don't over-plan. Leave some time to explore your surroundings and really take it all in.

One more thing: at HS, go to Walt Disney Presents and take the time to walk thru the whole thing and read all the information. This is hard to do with kiddos that have a short attention span. :)

Me and DH are excited to do the Monorail crawl when we go next!! We want to try to include a boat ride over to Wilderness Lodge too!!
