Gift card deals this holiday?

I’m on the hunt for good Christmas deals on gift cards.

Here in Ca I have seen the following so far

Miguel’s Jr- buy $25 get 2 $5 bonus cards, online buy $25 get $10 e bonus card
Jamba Juice - buy $25 get $5 bonus card
Panera - buy $50 get $10 bonus card
Texas road House- buy $30 get $5 bonus

In the past after Thanksgiving I’ve gotten jamba buy $25 get 2/$5 bonus. I miss the Del taco but $100 get 8 free small combo coupons.

Last year I bought several $25 TGIF/ Fridays gift cards online. It was buy $50 get $25 bonus cards. Well majority got hacked. Customer service was great about replacing the gc until sept when they gave me the run around on the last one. I filed a claim but they never replaced it, never replied to my emails and they don’t answer their phones. Turns out TGIF has filed bankruptcy and quickly closed several locations giving employees lil notice so be warned if you plan on buying gift cards from them.

I hate that many of the deals the chain places offer are for bonus cards with a short window of usage. that said-if you have a local place (or small regional chain) you might reach out to see if they are doing any kind of special. we have a Mexican restaurant chain that does not do any kind of advertising except in store (and if you join their online mailing list)-i reached out to them at the start of November and am poised on Friday to order a couple of hundred dollars of gift cards at 20% off
