From what I understand, it’s always busy. The earlier you can get there, to get in line the better. I was there last October. My group had a 5:30pm dinner reservation. We got to Disney Springs around 4 pm, but everyone wanted to shop so I didn’t get to Gideon’s until about 5pm. I thought I’d be able to walk in at that time. Wrong!! It was a 3 hour wait once I put my name on the list. We finished dinner about 7:30pm and no one wanted to wait for another hour with me until it was my turn to shop. I finally got the text around 8:30pm to return and get in line. The store is pretty small, so they only let a couple people in at a time. For me it was well worth the wait. Just be prepared to hang out at Disney Springs until you’re called to return to shop. They do run out of items, so if you have something you absolutely have to get…
I really do not want to spend time queuing for this place in the hot, humid August weather on our next trip, but my nephew is insistent he tries it, so it's interesting to read they have a return texting system in place.
We were there at the beginning of the month. We like to make a dining reservation and stop at Gideons to get on the wait list before hand. This time, they said there was no virtual queue. Just get in line and wait. It was maybe 30 minutes until we were inside.
The time before that, we finished dinner and did some shopping before we were called. I guess it's just luck of the draw?
Didn’t look thst busy last week the 2 afternoons we were at Disney Springs but if you want a great cookie/baked good without the wait go to Summer House … you won’t be sorry
