Model number PDT715NFS..... https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-Prof...ess-Tub-3rd-Rack-45-dBA-PDT715SYNFS/310504267

Has great reviews on Lowes and Homedepot. Like 4. 3 ish on 5-6 thousand reviews. Amazon on 14 reviews 2.7.

Looking at different dishwashers, who has what gizmo and who doesn't. This one has the best I think. Except Bosch has a system, so water shouldn't leak onto floor. Like it has an extra space to hold water incase something fails. DD like Bosch for reliability.

Any thoughts?

Do not own the GE profile dishwasher but have owned a couple GE profile microwaves and liked them. Not sure if they are still having issues but Bosch was taking forever to get parts for repair if needed but they are good machines.

We had one for 10 years.....it was fine.
We replaced it with a Bosch about a year ago. Love it.

We bought all new Cafe appliances which is GE, we had two issues and I will say it took a couple weeks but they sent out a qualified service guy who fixed both issues.

I have not had great luck with dishwashers in general, but keep going back to Bosch. I had pretty good luck with GE too. I would not buy a Frigidaire. The motherboard went out on ours before we even plugged it in and it took us forever to get the appliance place to accept it back as a lemon. YMMV.

We have it. We took the flat drawer out because it really impacted the height of items in the rest of the washer. Otherwise, no issues.

Had GE appliances in a prior home and never had any issues with them. We choose GE appliances when building our new home a couple of years ago. Not that that exact model, but with dishwashers it is basically a matter of the decibel rating (i.e. how quiet it is) and if the interior is plastic or stainless steel. Gadgets like connecting to the internet are offered on some and never had any interest in that. Can imagine if something else goes wrong the repairman will say they don't fix IT issues and the IT people will say it isn't their issue either. I really have no need for my dishwasher to text my when the cycle is complete!

I think any reputable major brand will be easier to service or get repair parts if something goes wrong.

If buying this to replace one you have, make sure to ask the store how much they charge to deliver and/or remove the old one. I can recall at our prior home one of the home improvement stores (can't recall if Home Depot or Lowe's) wanted to charge for that and also charge to hookup the new one which is simply a matter of reconnecting the existing water/drain lines. The other store didn't charge and also removed the old one for no charge. Depending on how trash pickup works were you live, it can be a pain getting rid of something like a dishwasher if they don't take such things. Make sure to clarify if they actually carry it off your property or simply place it by the curb for trash pickup.

We have good luck with GE dishwashers for 50 years. We started with the builders model and are now on the third. We’ve always gotten the cheapest model. It is only run every 3 or 4 days.

Local Lowe’s and Home Depot both charge $250 to install. Not sure about home depot, but Lowe’s charges $50 to takeaway old appliance.

local appliance store is also charging $250 to install but nothing for removal.

We would have to pay extra for trash pick up.

Yes, we also run it every few days. Unless grandkids are coming. Then it might be twice a day.

Home Depots website says delivery is free and that includes installation and hauling away the old dishwasher.
Lowes website says deliver is free if your dishwasher cost $396 or more, and that includes installation and hauling away the old dishwasher

Oh how I wish. Or any other kind of dishwasher. Been married almost 42 years and have been cooking and washing dishes by hand the whole time. 😩

When we bought our suite of appliances from Home Depot, once they got here to install they wouldn't do the dishwasher. First, they didn't do them in our area despite letting us pay/schedule it. Second, even if they did they wouldn't since we had copper pipes. They said it had to be a plumber.

DH did the install himself with no issues (but then he's an equipment mechanic). We had to go round and round to get the fee refunded.

I'm married to the dishwasher. That's his job. Only he knows how to load a dishwasher the perfect way. So I leave it to the expert. 🤣

Double checked. Where are you? In PA, outside Phila, installation and haul away $300.

That’s nice. I’m the chief cook AND bottle washer. Once in a great while he’ll pitch in and do something but usually he’s either busy with something else for somebody else or he falls asleep as soon as he’s done eating. 🙄

It keeps changing my location to my store, but that is odd. My wife's nephew manages a Lowes outside Houston, and he says if they didn't deliver for free, they wouldn't sell anything. Must be what ever the market will bare.
