So. Carmageddon is being ported to the Dreamcast. You’ll excuse me for not jumping for joy. As a game I never took to just running people down in a cars for points and the N64 version was deemed as one of the WORST games of recent times. Try searching for "Carmageddon64 review" and you'll get what I mean. Common advice - if you see this game in stores for sale, do society a favour - remove it.

Other games classed as the “worst of all time” include E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) and Custer's Revenge (1982). Finally we have a more modern contender, Superman 64 (1999). It’s joked about in the gaming community.

I never understood the hype around Carmageddon either. I had the PC version ages ago and even then it just felt clunky and dull. The idea of mowing down pedestrians for points always made it seem like it was trying too hard to be edgy instead of actually being a fun game. Superman 64, though that one really set the standard for how bad a licensed game can get. I remember renting it and genuinely thinking my cartridge was broken because the controls were so off.
