Food portions at Rose and Crown

Compared to at home UK portions can anyone describe for eg bangers and mash. I have been discussing sharing main meals with DH. Now he is a biggish eater and I eat medium meals normally. If we had a starter each and shared a main course would that be enough to eat?

It's been ten years since I've been to England, so my info might be a little dated. I found all the portions throughout WDW to be very large compared to portions we received in England. I don't know if it would suffice for the both of you, but I always leave with a doggie bag.

We ate at the Rose and Crown - Oct 2001 and found the main course portions small, compared to the portions at our local pubs. Would not have been happy sharing.

Having eaten at the Rose and Crown in December 2002, I found the portions to be more than reasonable. I had soup to start, which, out of the whole of our group, was the smallest starter. I then had the salmon fillet which was lovely. Dessert was the sherry trifle, but unfortunately because I was so full I only managed two mouthfuls. I would say that unless you are big eaters then a starter each, share a main course and if you are still hungry you could perhaps share a dessert.

we all had our own meals, but they where plenty big enough. I had fish and chips which was a huge fish and lots of chips. Phil had bangers and mash (which looked lovely) and it was a big plate of mash and about 8 sausages.

I often share a meal with Katie and there is plenty, but Katie isn't a particularly big eater.

As an American who loves the food at Epcot, I've always wondered if people from other countries eat the food at "their" Epcot counterpart. I guess from this post that UKers enjoy eating at R&C. Very interesting. I really enjoy reading the UK posts.

I'm sure that I would have to try McDonalds in London, whenever I get there (soon, hopefully!).
