Food Pic Story

So we just got back to the room from Flying Fish, our last TS dinner of our trip. We've been taking food pics pretty much the whole 8 days of our trip. I've been slightly embarassed here and there but figure I'll never see these people again, so what the heck?!

Well tonight at dinner, DH had to push his chair back to get a picture of our desserts and this whole table of 5 adults turned around and just looked at us. I was pretty mortified but then I saw that the one woman was wearing Adidas running shorts and sneakers with socks pulled up her calves and I didn't feel so bad!

Anyway, about 10 minutes later their dinners arrive. I see them sort of whispering to each other and then they ALL pulled out cameras and took pictures of their entrees! I thought it was great! I don't know if they'd been planning on doing it all along and were just staring at us cause we were freaks like them or if we gave them the inspiration!

That is so funny I was planning on taking pictures of my food for the first time this December and I wonder what stares I will receive!

so funny! My family actually got into it. I figured my DH would be mad, but he was hte one that would say WAITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! PICTURES!!!


i would just laugh.

I have afunny story tho.

We went to Siesta Key for a week after disney (sigh, im sad to be home) anyway, our first night we went to carrabas and i forgot where i was and snapped a picture of my pasta and shrimp.

What makes it even funnier is my DH handed me his plate to snap it also when we both just busted out laughing.

My OH thoguht it wasfunny to try and distract me or get me to forget, but he didn't mind really as long as I did it quickly. you sould have seen some of the looks I got in CG, the waiter also thought it was amusing, but he was very nice about it.

I am sure that I will get lots of stares from DH and our friends that are hopefully going with us next year. I think they already are looking for a place to "put" me after I tried to tell them about the DIS and what I look at on here ... food porn and LGMHPC etc ... maybe I should just stick to the planning info I have gotten on here until I can convert one of them ...

On the flip side, I think I will see if I can get a LGMHPC to attach to my camera so if any DIS peeps are trying to decide if I'm a DISer while I am snapping away, they can see the LGMPHC and KNOW!! Yet another use for good ole lime green Mickey!

Perhaps the other photographers are also on the DIS Board and will be sharing their experiences as well. Won't that we wonderful to have all those photos and reviews!
