I'm considering switching from Coronado to this hotel. Can save $200 and get free breakfast..I hear it's a hot breakfast and they even have mickey waffles. Never stayed at any hotel at Flamingo Crossing and I'd love to hear honest feedback. Cleanliness, proximity to the parks, shuttles, anything you can tell me.... good or bad. Especially cleanliness..my mom is picky. It gets high marks on the reviews I've read but I thought I'd get more opinions. Thanks!

It's literally around the corner from Coronado. I'd stay at the Flamingo hotels in a minute if I had no plans other than Disney World. Can't help you on specifics as I haven't stayed, though my nieces loved staying there. I drive to parks from offsite, and COVID has impacted shuttles so you might want to talk to hotel directly to get how that is being handled.

We've stayed at the Homewood Suites in Flamingo Crossing 2x this year and loved it. 1x was a Disney trip, the other was not. It was clean, super easy to disney property, nice pool, friendly staff, huge rooms, and breakfast included was nice. :) They did have Mickey waffles. The only negative for us older folks is that the bed wasn't super comfortable (kids didn't complain). We drive from SC, so have our own car and there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you want/need to venture off property.

I have stayed there numerous times and enjoyed it.

I would not stay there unless you have a car or plan to use Uber a lot. The location is quiet, but a bit isolated. It's only a 10-minute drive to restaurants and shopping, but too far to walk.

They may have a shared shuttle service, but those are generally quite limited.

We just got back from nine days at Home2Suites, which shares facilities with Homewood. These are brand new and I can’t say enough good things about them! Disney Parks are 9-12 minutes away and we even watched MK fireworks from the parking lot one night! Super clean, spacious rooms and very friendly staff. Great selection of hot and cold foods for breakfast, including big and little Mickey waffles! With our AAA rate we paid considerably less than the cheapest Value resort and we will definitely stay there again! Fantastic for families!

I stayed there once a few years ago and was disappointed with the level of cleanliness, especially the mold in the shower. My standards of cleanliness are higher than most people's, so YMMV.

I haven't stayed at this new property, but it sounds wonderful, and I would keep it in mind for future stays.

Have stayed there several times over the years. Flamingo Crossing area is very convenient but we always have a car. Would not want to rely on shuttles. In Sept our room at Springhill was definitely showing some age, it was OK but the bathroom door handle was broken, that kind of stuff. I would go for the Fairfield or Residence Inn which are both new, at the same area. I do love the free parking and free breakfast all of these Marriott properties have.

I’ve stayed at the Townplace Suites adjacent to the Springhill Suites several times pre-Covid. Love the location and the price. It was always clean and the morning breakfast was great. The pool is a bit pedestrian and the Starbucks had way too limited of hours. (The Townplace and Springhill share these.) But, with a car, I’ll be staying in the Flamingo Crossings area again for sure. Haven’t stayed there since Fall 2019 and lots has changed since then.

This area has lots of construction and when it’s done will be the next big family friendly area! We used AAA at Home2Suites and will definitely do it again. I hope the secret doesn’t get out 😉

So Springhill suites is not new then? Is there anywhere to safely take walks for exercise in this area? Thanks!

No, the Springhill and Towneplace were the first hotels in the area, 6 years ago. So not super-old but not the newest. A lot has changed in the area, there are some stores, I would think you could walk around safely but I don't recall much shade. It was still a lot of construction going on.
