We will be traveling from Pensacola. Once we are on the turnpike how much are the tolls and does anyone know how many there are? We will be staying at Windsor Hills.

Thanks for the link. I see that is for 2 axle .
Has anybody traveled with a UHaul truck (from Texas) .
I have read online that the billing I.d. License plate sends too fee to UHaul and then U Haul adds it to my rental invoice. Is this correct.
Also How many axles for a truck?
Thanks

The FL Turnpike is now All Electronic Tolling (no cash accepted). If you don't have a valid interoperable transponder (SunPass, E-Pass, E-ZPass), you will receive a Toll-By-Plate invoice in the mail. If driving a rental car and no transponder, the rental agency will bill you for the tolls instead.

You should be able to do it yourself with the Florida's Turnpike - SunPass Toll Calculator
I tried to look at this. I will be getting on the turnpike and I don’t know the area what it’s called. I will be traveling on I-75 after getting off of I-10 from Pensacola area. We are not FL residents . The last time I drove to WDW there were cash tolls and didn’t need a pass.

Do I have to buy a pass or can I still pay cash. Leaving in a.m. so need to get this figured out .

There is no CASH lane at all. Get the pass at ANY Fla food store like publix, 7-11 etc
You will not only get charged the actual toll but ALSO very likely a rather hefty FEE atop it Each time u go thru a toll.all rental cars do this and I “ assume” they’d want to make that Extra money too. So instead, Grab the ez pass, set up a quick online acct and hook a cc to it with the minimum and then allow them to add money to it IF it’s needed ( I think it was like $10. Minimum)
Safe travels OP.

We got our SunPass at one of the Florida rest stops, of which there are many between Pensacola and I-75 as well as along I-75.

If you're coming from Texas, I'd stop at the Official Florida Welcome Station , shortly after you cross over from Alabama, and get a SunPass from the SunPass vending machine there. Very easy and will allow you to use not just the Florida Turnpike but also Hwy. 429 which takes you down the west side of WDW so you don't have to deal with the I-4 mess.

As others have said, your best bet would be to buy a Sunpass transponder in a local store. If you go with the Sunpass PRO, it's about $15 and works in 17 east coast states besides just Florida.
As to your Uhaul, two axles. The toll-transponder system actually counts axles and charges accordingly. I have an 45' RV with a tag axle. That's the axle in the rear, giving the RV three axles. We pull our Tahoe behind... add those two axles and it equals a total of five axles. So far the Sunpass system has done a "pretty good" job of counting axles.
One more for instance. If you have a normal Uhaul box truck (I have never seen a Uhaul with more than two axles) and add one of their tandem axle trailers that would be 4 axles. Again, with a Sunpass you just drive and the system does the calculations for you.

Five axles....

Don't forget 417 when going east bound! (Or west depending where you're coming from! Ha). 417 goes around Orlando to the south and takes you almost to Daytona. It's further in distance but much better traffic-wise.

Do they still have the "Exact Coins" lane?

Yeah, we use that if we fly in and rent a car. Love our portable SunPass transponder!

As far as figuring out the toll calculator, for your starting point, choose ORLANDO AREA, Florida's Turnpike - Orlando Area, I-75. You probably have a better idea where you plan to get off the Turnpike, but ORLANDO-AREA, Florida's Turnpike - Orlando Area probably still apply for your Trip End point too.

Others above have answered your other questions better than I could.

Have an enjoyable trip.

The UNI toll pass is operationally equivalent to SunPass PRO in all respects. Both are accepted throughout FL as well as in all E-ZPass states. The difference is who administers it: the local toll agency in the Orlando area as opposed to the FL Turnpike. There is a different web site and app, and differences in payment options.

UNI is available on Amazon for $15. Overnight delivery is an additional $10, or included in Amazon Prime.

Also, note that E-ZPass is now accepted throughout FL. There is no need to buy a SunPass or UNI if you already have an active E-ZPass which you can mount in your rental vehicle.

FL charges the same toll rates for all transponders, whether SunPass, UNI, or E-ZPass.

Regarding axle count: the SunPass toll calculator allows you to select the axle count, at the top of the menu on the right.

This is just me so it obviously doesn't apply to everyone.
I've had the EZPASS for many years as we used to live in MD and would occasionally visit after moving to FL. We actually had a removable Sun pass for our FL trips. Now that Sun pass PLUS is available I'm getting rid of the EZpass. The advantage of the Sunpass as I see it is we also use it for parking at airports, etc. I dont think the EZpass has that option. The biggest advantage is only having to maintain one account. We've had to pay administrative fees for the EZpass to keep it up even though we only use it every couple of years.

Tolls on 417 from the Airport to WDW were under $5. However, we purchased a Sunpass just so we didn't need to stop. worth every penny. You can get it at a local store, but we did our online and had it sent to us. so easy to use. It works on the main highway, and the exits that are unmanned.

Remember, if you're arriving & departing from MCO, you can get a free toll pass for the duration of your visit:

We did that when they first came out and it worked well. Then when everything shut down, it was discontinued for a while, and thats when we just ordered one..
It was a very easy process to set up and use the free toll pass.
