The first week of December is very popular for several reasons. The special Christmas events at Epcot, like Candlelight Processional and Storytellers, have begun. The Disney resort rooms are at their lowest cost for December. And there were a lot of different types of discounts that were offered for this period.
If your fight is on SW check for a possible rate decrease and credit. The sales in the last 2 months have yielded credits for me both times…Good luck..
To add to what everyone already said… Thanksgiving is late this year. That leaves less time until Christmas so people are squeezing their trips into 4 weeks instead of 5. Less need to discount rooms when more people are booking for that time period.
I’m a DVC Member and have gone many times this week. It’s just a popular time to go for the Christmas activities. It used to be low points but it’s more middle now. The annual meeting is December 12th, I didn’t not think it’s a big factor.
It's a really good value to go the first week of December. DVC points are at one of the lowest pts/night and regular rates are discounted. Very popular for people without children to go visit to see holiday decorations before the madness of Christmas and New years.
