The Disneyland website shows there will be Fire of the Rising Moon, but doesn't list another fireworks show. They can't do one without the other, right?

Tonight it shows they are doing both according to schedule. Looks like Jan 10, 11 just fire of the rising moons.

ETA: Just a guess probably no castle fireworks due to taking down the Christmas Lights from the Castle.

Correct, there's only one fireworks show, simply with different soundtracks. For some reason, ever since DL started Fire of the Rising Moons, they've screwed up the listing for the Main Street fireworks show on their website. I haven't paid close attention to see whether they sometimes list both, but whenever I've checked, they haven't.

I hope people who are planning trips will complain about that, because it must be very confusing for people who don't know about the Galaxy's Edge option and think there are no regular fireworks.

Thanks, the weeks prior to our visit, the holiday fireworks were listed as well as Fire of the Rising Moon...

Only Fire of the Rising Moon for Jan. 10 through the 12th is scheduled. No main fireworks show.
Fire of the Rising Moon IS the main fireworks show. There’s just one firework show.

I think they haven’t announced yet what fireworks are coming after the holidays, which is probably why nothing is listed yet. Mickey’s Mix Magic?

Ok I always think the main fireworks is the show by the castle.
There is no fireworks coming after the holidays. I do not think there will be a fireworks show until the 70th starts.

Also the rise of the moon seems to end after the 12th as well.

Maybe rhey

This is my guess too they aren’t sure what fireworks show they will have. I know nothing has been announced

Fireworks are usually cut during the winter after the holidays and do not return until spring break/Easter season and regularly during the summer season.

Really? I haven’t really paid that close of attention but thought they went back to weekends only.

As I mentioned earlier, this is a problem with the Disneyland website. If FotRM is listed, there are fireworks behind the castle. FotRM is just an alternate soundtrack; it can't exist without the castle fireworks.
Thank you for explaining this to me. Never got that distinction until now.

They are just cut back to Friday-Sunday. There’s fireworks on the weekends year round weather permitting. They just haven’t announced which show they are doing, but it will likely be mickeys mix magic. Also, as others have said, the swge show only happens on nights when there are fireworks and it’s alternate music that’s played in swge to go with the fireworks the park is presenting at the time.

There are no fireworks listed on the schedule after January 12. Either no fireworks or the website is not updated yet.

Sorry, I read this thread and am still confused. FotRM with fireworks and Mickey's Mix Magic with fireworks are both showing at 9:30. These are the same show? One fireworks show but you don't know what soundtrack you'll get, or it depends where you're watching from? Sorry for this very dumb question :(
