It's been years since I've really bought any pork chops. DH is just not a fan of them. He says he'll eat them if they're "tender". He always wants everything "tender". Drives me nuts. I'm not a chef by any means, basically a middle-of-the-road cook, so my stuff doesn't always come out tender.

Anyhow, I'm just looking for the best way to cook boneless pork chops. They look to be about 1/2 inch thick or so. He's not a fan of BBQ sauce, so cooking them in the crock pot with the sauce to make "pulled pork" is out of the question.

He's more of a meat/potatoes kind of guy, so 9 out of 10 times I'll be making them with mashed potatoes (or baked). I have 2 packages of 3 chops (they were buy 1 get 1 free).

So easy and so tender and tasty!

I brown the chops in some oil on both sides quickly. In a casserole dish add 2 cans of apple pie filling, place chops over the apples and add 1-2 boxes prepared stuffing mix (pork or cornbread) spread over the top - add some salt and pepper and cover with foil and bake in the own at 350 for about an hour depending how thick the chops are.

I would still do them in the crockpot, put in some beer or broth . Make gravy from the liquid after its done and serve with mashed potatoes. I have a hard time with getting tender pork chops too, I always crock pot them now

One more and this is my husbands favorite.

I brown the chops salt and pepper in a skillet until just about done - remove to a warm plate. Add some olive oil and garlic cloves as well as thick cut (like potato chips) sliced potatoes to skillet till its all nice and browned and tender, add the chops back to the pan then add slicked red cherry peppers - mix well and serve.

This is really tasty especially if you like some spice.

This is an easy weeknight dinner. I brown the pork chops then add chunks of potatoes, sliced onions, and diced red, green, or yellow pepper along with one can of low sodium, fat free beef broth. I add just a tiny sprinkling of dry onion soup mix (probably a teaspoon or less.) Bring to a boil.

Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender. Because the pork chops are simmered in broth, they don't dry out.

I make bone in pork chops in the crock pot. This is my favorite recipe, I serve them with rice and veggies.

6 bone in pork chops
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp ground ginger
2 tbsp honey
3 cloves garlic

Cook on low for 6 hours.

If you are looking for an easy yet tasty way to prepare pork chops just place them in a Pyrex dish and cover with 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and bake in the oven at 350. The soup and drippings from the chops make a good gravy for mashed potatoes. I do most of the cooking in our house and my wife and I enjoy this simple way to cook them.

our favorite pork chop recipe is for schnitzel:

pack of boneless pork tenderloins
eggs
bread crumbs
butter (or margarine)

beat several eggs (with yolk) in a bowl and set aside. pour about 1/3 of the can of bread crumbs into another bowl and set aside. beat pork chops paper-thin with a tenderizing mallet. dip each one in the egg, then bread crumbs (adding more bread crumbs as needed), then fry in butter or margarine.

you an serve ANYTHING with this. YUMMY!!

Don't use shake and bake pork chops. They come out covered in mush. Unless someone knows how to make them so they come out edible.

Super simple and super yummy!

Boneless porkchop
Cornflakes
Egg
Salt n' Pepper
Honey

I like mine a little on the salty side, to combat the sweet honey

Take salted porkchop(s) and dip in egg(s) then cover all sides in cornflakes (repeat for extra crunchy) place on cookie rack, on top of cookie sheet, drizzle with honey (to taste) and bake. You can cook them on any oven safe plate BUT the corn flakes may get soft on the bottom, and I like mine crunchy!

Delicious!

I made this a couple of months ago and it was very good. The pork ends up very tender.

Yummy Pork & Gravy

6 boneless pork chops, cut into bite-size pieces
2 10.75 oz cans cream of mushroom soup (I used Trader Joe's cream of portabella mushroom soup)
6 oz can French fried onions
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 1/4 cups milk
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper

Cornbread or rice

Combine all ingredients except cornbread or rice in a slow cooker; mix well. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours, or on high setting for 4 hours. Serve over cornbread or rice. Makes 8 servings.

For those who put the pork chops in the crock pot.....do you put them in frozen or thawed out?

Thawed out. You are really not "supposed" to put frozen meats in a crock pot for food safety reasons.

I like to fry up pork chops in frying pan. Then I take them out and squirt about a quarter cup of honey in the pan. Turn to low and scrape all the brown bits up from pan into honey. Then dump in about a quarter cup of chopped pecans. Let it on stove for a min or two. Then spoon honey pecans over porkchops. It is Yummy.

For those who put the pork chops in the crock pot.....do you put them in frozen or thawed out?

For the recipe above, I've always used thawed, and the pork chops come out fall apart tender. I also use fresh mushrooms instead of jarred. The soups and water make a nice gravy. I live to serve them over rice, with some fresh green beans, steamed.

I've done this in the crock pit too. You do not realize it is "soup", it really tastes like gravy. Perfect with mashed potatoes and Alan's Green Beans (KY Wonder Style).

You can tenderize pork chops--they cost extra is you buy them that way--silly when you can easily do it yourself.

Pork chops do not make good "pulled pork" BBQ --you need pork butt or whatever for that.

And remember when buying them there is a difference between pork chops and the tenderloin. But it is all good. I LOVE pork chops of any kind. :)

Margarita Pork Chops...

The recipe is here

Easy Peasy...we grill ours - We have a Weber Genesis grill - so we've got this down to a science if we use 1" thick boneless porkchops. And - I add about 1/4 of the pepper, and don't add any salt.

You can do the same thing and just marinade the chops too.

The key to cooking pork chops is to not overcook them. Period. I also find that "bone-in" porkchops are harder to cook than boneless. So - we always get boneless.

Either, frozen if I've forgotten to pull them out the night before, which is most of the time lol
