So Monsieur Paul is the only one you still have yet to try? I see Shiki-Sai listed as was great, but also need to try. lol

You're right, we may need to make a separate "gimmicky/character/buffet" category!! :)
I meant Takumi Tei - that and Monsieur Paul are the fancy prix fixe ones. I've been to V&A several times. Love it. My older kid wants to try it, we are going to hold off until both kids are older.

gimmicky/character/buffet would be fun.

Since Via Napoli got all the votes and I’ve never been there, is there a special thing to order or just all is good? (I just made reservations, so I’m in the planning stage) :)

Via Napoli was a one and done for me ... (ducks) ...

I'm from NYC where you can get very good pizza without too much effort. To be fair, the last time we went to VN was 2018 or so. It was fine (good) pizza, but we have access to lots of more-than-fine pizza at home.

It also was very loud - hard surfaces everywhere, reflected sound easily - and even though we had small kids ourselves then, it felt like everyone in the restaurant was yelling to be heard.

Would I try it again? I think so -- we've been pleasantly surprised at many of the re-visits we've done -- but it's not at the top of my list right now, either.

@Chili327 - can't remember if you have (young) kids or not - if not, you could definitely have a quieter meal if you avoid prime times or go later (during toddler sleeping times). And as I recall, you're from CA so maybe you do need to order some pizza. ;)
Get standard NYC style toppings:

margarita / slices of mozzarella
SPOM (sausage peppers onions mushrooms) or a combo like that
pepperoni

we usually don't stray far from that. You want to be able to feel and taste that crust.

No kids, & my res is at 8:20pm, and yes i'm a NY style fan for sure!! If i wanted a loaf of bread under my pizza i would go to Subway. lol

Here is the place i grew up with in CA.

A few people voted for "Nine Dragons" and I'm curious if it is just a standard Chinese food restaurant or is there anything special about it? It just says "contemporary Chinese cuisine" but what do you like about it?

I love Chinese food, but not sure I'd want to spend a meal time there if it wasn't really great or special... unless I'm just in that mood. :)

ok, so this one has too many for my head to wrap around so I'm just going to do a round 2 with all new ones, then use the top for from both later.

Also I'm going to exclude anything outside the park, and they can have their own poll. ;)

Which 3 would you leave off?

  • Akershus - l
  • Bakery in Norway - IIl
  • Connections - l
  • FIsh and chips in UK - I
  • Garden Grill
  • La Creperie
  • Les Halles
  • Monsieur Paul - Ill
  • *Restaurant Marrakesh - Ill
  • San Angel Inn
  • Space 220
  • Teppan Edo - I
  • Tutto Italia

*Not open (probably gets removed by default)

There are really only two I'd leave off-Bakery in Norway (it used to have more options, but not now), and Restaurant Marrakesh since it's closed. If you definitely want 3, omit Monsier Paul-I'll bet too few could give a valid review.

I leave off:

Norway Bakery - there are better bakeries in Epcot, and this one doesn't have as many real entrees available.

Fish and Chips - they only serve one item, and it's not what I want to eat on a hot Florida day. And that one item is just average.

Teppan Edo - it's no different than any hibachi grill off-property. In fact, most of those off-property places have better theming. It tastes good, but is very expensive. The only appeal I see to this is if you live somewhere without any Japanese food available.

Good to know.

I'll keep a tally & just remove 3 when we get enough feedback.

Thanks all!

We have a reservation at Monsieur Paul in February for 6 of us. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I haven't eaten at all the choices and the ones I have eaten at were good, so it's really difficult to thumbs down anything I haven't done (5) or anything else for now. Taking Marrakech out would make sense.

Yea, this is going to be tough, but at least one is easy. :)

It’s looking like these 3 are the front runners.

Bakery in Norway
Monsieur Paul
Restaurant Marrakesh

*BUMP*

We have a couple of front runners, but we still need to remove 3 (from this list) to start a new poll of 10.
Marrakesh is a good one to leave off since they aren't open (even though might be one of the better places when open), so technically need 2 more. :)

While I voted Le Cellier, Via Napoli and Spice Road if I'm being totally honest we mostly just graze at the booths. I'll also give a shout out to Biergarten. I think the food is pretty meh (not great, not bad either), but it's our first choice for the Candlelight Processional package. The atmosphere at Christmas is great and the show is so much fun.
Does Biergarten do anything special for the Christmas season?
We’ll be going to WDW for Christmas for the first time this year and will want to do the CP package. Why is this your fave for the CP package?

Sorry- off topic but really want input.

Maybe Christmas meals can be a different poll!

They decorate the restaurant beautifully for Christmas and include some holiday songs in the show. It’s just lovely in there at Christmas.
