Face painting at Disneyland

This is so weird. I just about to search this site for a tread on face painting and I see your post.

I thought I heard (maybe on the DIS Podcast) that during Halloween time they have face painting somewhere around BTMRR, and I thought I heard it is free. Can anyone confirm this?

There is a Face Painting booth by the Matterhorn.

Fabulous !

Anything from fairies to pirates, cats, dogs and more......

Make sure your next stop isn't Splash Mountain or swimming.
Early in the day always seemed best. The lines weren't quite as long.

In all honesty, I am 33 and I love getting my face painted in Disneyland! I usually go for something small and artistic with hidden Mickeys in it (the painting CMs are so great) Just being in DL with ears on, face painted and coffee in hand is the perfect day to me. We had our daughters face painted when she was 3 months old.... A small mickey balloon on her cheek. Now she is 3 and face painting a regular thing here at home. I won't share any photos of how I look when she paints my face  but it is always a lot of fun to do, especially at Disney!

Our daughter is now saving up for face painting whenever we go to Disneyland. She's saving up for a pirate. Have your kids had their faces painted?

Sometimes it's a little too much in my opinion. That's why I'm sharing a post on it. You can actually get anything you want. We started out small but seem to be getting bigger...

Cheers,

We end up getting both kids faces painted every time. The CM's eat it up and the kids love it. Get it done first thing for a full day of enjoyment. Yes it is pricey, but at least they do a really good job and the face paint is good quality.

Here is a picture of my DD10 with her "makeup". She loved it. I think it was $14.
One piece of advice though... don't get it your last day. She fell asleep in the car on the way home... let's just say that it's oil based and not so easy to get out of upholstery.

DD did it last year. The choices were Dio de Los Muertos styles. She got a skeleton on her cheek. It was in the are next to the BTMRR FP machines.

I have always wanted to get her face painted at one of the kiosks, but we never seem to make it happen.

My children love to have the facepainting done. The last time it was a disaster because it was so hot. Their faces were itchie and it made them miserable but they loved the look. We kept it for as long as we could, then gave in and washed it off. The day was going to be to long to be miserable. They decideed when and I took lots of photos to keep the dream alive.pirate:princess::flower3:

So cute. That's about the size I like too. Not too big on their little faces!

This is DD5 from our Feb trip. The paint artist are wonderful! And as a side note I was told by the artist that they do FREE touch up all day at all the kiosks
so don't let splash or a little sweat detour you from getting one!

My daughter LOVES getting her face painted on our trips. She's a tomboy, so it's usually a dragon. By far, the messiest one was she had done at Star Wars Weekends in Disney World. She wanted to look like Captain Rex. That was a lot of paint. Here are a few (ginormous -- sorry!) pictures of past paintings.

Her green dragon

Captain Rex. I'm just glad she didn't want Darth Maul.

Her dragon mask. *TIP* Try to get a picture of the big reveal. This is, by far, her best reaction yet to seeing her face painted.
