I am still looking for a fun way to surprise our kids with our Disney trip (leave December 10). We have an Elf on the Shelf who visits us starting December 1st each year. Thinking of getting "Happy" to help us leave clues for the kids.
I would like the clues to start really subtly, and get more obvious the closer we get. We would like to tell the kids by December 6-7, only because they need to make some arrangements at school for assignments.

Any other good ones? Again - trying to go with subtle up until the very end. I am hoping the kids just see mischief and then put Disney together at the very end.

- Have the elf hide behind one of our Disney-themed ornaments
- Draw mickey ears on a photograph with dry erase marker
- Star Wars lightsaber battle
