I can not find the answer to my question...

If my child has the original Easy Bake Oven, can you use the mixes that say Easy Bake Ultimate oven? I searched the package and could not find anywhere that says you can not.

Thank you!

I don't think they will work.

The Ultimate Easy Bake oven no longer uses a light bulb to heat stuff, instead it is more like a real oven and the temp inside reaches 375 degrees according to consumer reports... The older light bulb powered models got hot but not that hot. I am guessing that if you tried the new ultimate packages in the older ovens they would require a lot longer cooking time if they ever really cooked properly at all.

I would suggest you go to the following site.

http://www.eborecipes.com/

you can find recipes there for the older light bulb powered ovens and they will be much cheaper than any you would find in a store.

Wonder what's going to happen to all those Easy Bake Ovens when incandescent light bulbs are no longer available?:confused3

The newer ultimate ovens don't use light bulbs. They cost about $20 more than the older ones but are more like a normal toaster oven.
