Easter Egg Hunt at Disneyland Hotel questions

Just wondering if anyone has any information about the Egg Hunt that happens on the grounds at DH on Easter morning. I know it is from 8-11 that day but that's all I know. Do they break it down into age levels? Are there characters there? Is it a super popular (i.e. crowded) event? Should we bring an easter basket is that too much? This will be our first morning to go to the parks and I'm trying to decide if we should hit the parks or go to this event...

Just bumping this up in case anyone knows.... we are trying to decide if we want to go to the egg hunt at the Disneyland Hotel Easter morning or if we want to hit the parks early but we can find very little if any information online which seems unusual. (I found one article but it was from 2011 or 2012 I believe...) Has anyone been to this event that can share info? Thanks so much!

Thanks! They emailed me that same info which is how I learned about it but I cannot seem to find more than the time and place. I was hoping that people here had first hand experience and could share if it's crowded, fun to do, etc.

It's Disney so it probably is worth it but it's a tough call for us! Lol
