Early morning Room Service

A question for those of you who order early morning room service. Does the delivery person always bring the tray all the way into your stateroom? Or do they meet you at the door for early mornings?
My husband wants to order to have coffee in the early mornings, but I would feel strange still being in bed asleep if they come all the way into the stateroom. How do you handle that situation?

They will be happy to do either! He can just quietly take the tray from room service and no one will see your beautiful "Anna waking up on Coronation Day" drool. Or they will just as quietly slip in and set the tray on the closest surface. In my experience, the morning room service crew has always been discreet. Keep in mind they they must either drop it off in the room or hand it to you, they will not leave it outside your door

You can take the tray at the door or they can bring it in. We usually have them bring the tray in because they're heavy and awkward and we don't want to drop it.

They will do either! Be aware that the tray is super heavy like others have said!

Yep we have them come in and put it on the little table. They are pretty fast at it too.

Keep em coming!...is there any coffee flavoring stuff like international delight French vanilla type stuff around anywhere?

One thing we learned the hard way, when it says mini muffin from an assortment of muffins, they really do mean a single mini muffin. Make sure you specify a quantity of everything!

Yes and you can write in exactly what kind you want too. My favourite was a chocolate chip muffin, daughter wanted a chocolate dip donut.

We used to use the hang tag to specify what time we'd want coffee delivered, and use that as an alarm clock on port days but one time it never came. (Once out of a hundred.)
Luckily when that happened it was not on a port day but just a day I didn't want to sleep late. Now, I don't count on when we have an excursion or want to get off the ship.

I leave the tag on the door each night with the time I want it delivered. They are usually very prompt, so I have the tip ready & the little table cleared. Usually get toast or muffin & coffee-love those little covers they have over the jam! Then I’m ready for my latte at Cove Cafe later!

I've read some people say they order it late at night and it comes in a thermos and is still hot in the morning.
