We’re going to be getting in at like 12:30 AM on our next trip to BCV, too late for Instacart/Garden Grocer etc. We’ll do that the next day once we’ve had our coffee.

In the mean time we’d love to arrive to a few things we can make for breakfast. I see online that we can preorder frozen waffles, syrup, peanut butter, water and OJ from Beach Club Marketplace.

My actual questions:
It says they will be “delivered after 5” and gives options for “pick up” and “delivery” - does anyone know if that means delivery to the room?
Will they deliver to a room we haven’t physically checked into?
If so, will they put cold stuff away?IMG_1467.png

Long, long ago they’d deliver before arrival and refrigerate items as needed, but now I’d expect to pick things up from Bell Services on the way to your room. That’s better than having things delivered to an unoccupied villa and then having room assignments change and someone else moving into that villa, with your groceries there.

Thinking more about this, they might mean delivery from the Screen Door to your room when you’re there, or you pick it up from the Screen Door. I’m not sure they’ll deliver to Bell Services, and you’ll be arriving after they’re closed.

I thought GG and other services could deliver groceries to Bell Services before you arrive, as long as no alcoholic beverages in the order?

Where do you have groceries delivered at Beach Club? I know bell services, but didn’t know if the villas had their own or is the resort for both. I have stayed resort side in the past and had groceries delivered to bell services there, but this will be our first time on the DVC side.

GG has delivered groceries to our resort before our arrival a few times, usually on a Sunday when they seem to have fewer delivery windows. So if we arrived at 8:00 pm, we would receive a text/email en route (perhaps late afternoon) that our order had been delivered to the resort. This was pre-pandemic. It wouldn’t hurt to check.

We just used this order form last month at BWV so this was our experience.

I emailed it 2-3 weeks prior to stay. I selected “pick up”, but it says after 5pm. Never got a confirmation but I assumed it was received to the email I’d sent to. Our room was ready very early- like 12pm. I stopped by Bell services first to ask about my grocery order, to see if they had it or where I could pick it up. They told me it should be delivered by 5 and if it wasn’t, to check at the Screen Door general store, as they were the ones who package it. So we went straight to our room to unpack, no groceries delivered yet (still early) then walked to Epcot. On way back around 5pm, we saw it still hadn’t been delivered. So we went downstairs to the store and they were packing it then at about 5:15pm. There were a few items unavailable that they offered substitutes and had called me multiple times about (I hadn’t answered bc I didn’t recognize the number), and they told me they never get more than 1 of these orders per week. They seemed a little frazzled on it lol like they were still learning how to do this. I asked if we could head to the room and wait for delivery so it was at about 6:30 that they delivered it. So needless to say, it was a confusing process.

So I’d recommend selecting “deliver to room” and stopping by the store when you check in if it’s still open before heading to the room to see if they’ve delivered. They may deliver without you being present but the sweet CM I dealt with was waiting for me to come by and review substitutions.

I'm surprised they don't get more orders than that. Do you think it'd just be better to stop at the store at check in (assuming it's still open) and do the shopping yourself? If you've ever done Instacart/GG to a resort, how did that compare?

It does seem a bit dated in the whole ordering process. Having to email or fax your grocery order form without any confirmation return was weird for me, because I wasn’t sure if they got it. Even still odd was stopping by BS for them to be unsure about the process either. The items on the ordering list are the same in the store except for what was unavailable that day. Next time, yeah I would prefer to stop by and do it myself to have more idea of what’s out of stock and to substitute flavors myself!

I’ve done Instacart in the past and liked it better when I needed more items, such as fresh fruit & such, and when I wanted to choose my delivery time around my plans. Also, for longer lengths of stay.

When we only need a few items that we know are in stock there, we just plan to go down to the DVC store at the resort after we get our room. We used the order form many years ago, way back when they would put them in your villa (including the fridge) before you arrived, but after we got a dozen eggs with one cracked, stinky one, we stopped using that service.

Bumping this because we're arriving very late to RR on our next trip. I was hoping to use the service to have drinks/milk/cream delivered to our room before we get there since nothing will be open by the time we arrive. Has anyone used the service lately? or at RR specifically?
