Two alternatives to the
DVC rental store are:
David's Vacation Club Rentals
www.dvcrequest.com
Some people did not like the way this company treated members and people renting points during the pandemic.
However, they may have a list of people who are waiting to rent points.
I listed with them, and they contacted me the next day about booking a reservation for someone with my points. It was more than 7 months out, so they must have had someone on a list who wanted my home resort.
The Timeshare Store
www.dvcstore.com
People can get on a mailing list to get daily emails from them.
But they only mention certain points in the emails, which I think leads people to believe that those are the only points available for rent.
If those aren't your points which are mentioned, I think your points could sit a long time because people would not realize that the Timeshare Store has them.
For example, today's email said this:
Want to Rent A Disney Vacation Club Villa?
The
DVC Store can assist you with renting a Disney Vacation Club villa for your next vacation! We have points available as low as $14 per point.
**150 points at $14 a point. Must Travel & Check Out by 3/1/22**
So if someone has points listed with them, but their points aren't the ones with the check out date of 3/1/22, I think people might have no idea that their points are available for rent.
