DVC Gold AP what to do?

We currently have gold AP that with the extension expire in June. We have a trip booked in December 2021 and need to make park reservations.

If we purchase day tickets will we be able to convert them to AP and if so will our park reservations be there?

Or will MS let us renew early, as in this month as that is when our passes should have expired?

By the way how much are they charging for a renewal? It might be less than a 6 day ticket but that info is not on the web page now.

Thanks

I have seen that some have actually been allowed to renew their APs so you may want to call about that. However, they are still not issuing new ones, so buying regular tickets and then trying to convert later will likely not work unless Disney officially starts selling new APs again, and when that will occur is an unknown.

Just call and they'll let you purchase a renewal voucher for the following year so you can make those park reservations. Granted it's an early cash outlay but on the bright side, you lock in the current price. You can bet there's an increase coming, especially with the 50th rapidly approaching.

Thanks all for the answers. Just for reference day tickets for 5 days in early December are 668.00 including tax. So I think we know what the better option is.
