Driving on Daytona Beach question

We are planning to go to Daytona Beach 3/31 to get a pic of my new car with the ocean in the background then go to the Daytona Beach Flea Market. The website for the beach says the drive access opens at "sunrise" instead of a set time. Sunrise is technically around 7:15 am that day. Does anyone know if this is actually what they mean or is it more like when the sun is bright and whoever is working gets there. We will be staying in Kissimmee so I plan to leave early to not get stuck in Orlando rush hour but also don't want to be sitting around for an hour waiting for the booth to open.

Just a word of warning

The salt in the air ,from the Atlantic , might affect the paintwork on your new car .

Avoid salt water on the tires etc.

Yes, we can drive on our beach but I won't take my cars on it.

Short term exposure to the salt air won't hurt your car, you'll be fine from that perspective. Long term exposure causes metal to rust, but if you're that concerned about it, just give it a thorough wash.

However, I simply wouldn't take a C6 onto Daytona Beach. Very real possibility you'll get stuck. Wide rear tires with little tread do not go well with loose sand. You might get away with it, but I wouldn't try it. We've never gotten stuck, but have had to tread carefully, and that was driving a minivan. If you do venture on, just idle if it's an auto trans, or lots of clutch work if it's a stick.

Nice car by the way! I'm a car nut...and love yellow.

This C6 is actually my old car. I got a pic of it on Daytona Beach and have it as my screen saver and it's my fav. I got a 2015 C7 (Laguna Blue) two years ago and never got around to getting a similar picture. The yellow was a little much with the new design IMHO.

Ended up getting this pic at New Smyrna Beach just outside the beach since it was closed access to driving when we got there. Something about the tides or storm. As you can see the sky behind the car.

Thank you for the feedback ... A pity others , who we give advice to , do not give a reply
