Ok, my daughter begged for Dora the Explorer popsicles at the store and I relented. I remember my mom had a tupperware thing and that's how we had frozen treats when I was little so it burns me a little to buy popsicles, but I digress.

These popsicles have little jokes on the stick, with the punchline visible after the popsicle is eaten. The joke:

Why did the computer go to the restaurant?

It wanted a byte to eat.

What kind of joke is that for a six year old (and under)? What little kid would get that joke? I tried to explain it to her and she looked at me with a tilt of her head and said, ok. I just thought it was funny that some adult (probably without kids) decided that was a good joke to print on the stick.

Does anyone have any 6 and under approved jokes that would be more appropriate?

Here is one that cracked Megan up:

What do you call cheese that is not yours?

Nacho cheese!

I TOTALLY agree about the stupid jokes on the popsicle sticks! :)

These are some my 6yo likes:

Why was 6 afraid of 7?
Because 7,8,9!

What do you call a fairy that hasn't taken a bath?
Stinkerbell!

What time is it when an elephant sits on the fence?
Time to get a new fence!

Why are Teddy Bears never hungry?
Because they are always stuffed!

:)

Poor Zoe doesn't understand that the order of the numbers in the punchline is important. :rotfl: She tries to make her own version and doesn't understand why it isn't as funny.

Here's one she likes... and tells it to me often.

Knock knock
Who's there?
Banana
Banana who?
Knock knock
Who's there?
Banana
Banana who?
Knock knock

Orange who?
Orange you glad I didn't say banana? :rolleyes1

Good ones! I had never heard the Stinkerbell one, I am going to tell it to her tomorrow. Thanks!

Lisa, Megan doesn't get the number order either. It went right over her head.

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Boo
Boo Who
Don't cry it's only me.

LOL, Knock Knock jokes don't always get told with the right punchline either. Again she doesn't quite get why it isn't funny her way. Of course I do laugh but she doesn't realize it's not about her joke but her joke telling.

Speaking of Knock Knock jokes, here's another I remembered:

Knock knock
Who's there?
Dwayne
Dwayne who?
Dwayne the bathtub so I can get dwy

Why is the elephant standing on the marshmallow?
So he won't fall into the hot chocolate.

Why did the elephant paint her toe nails red?
To hide in the stawberry patch.

Why does the Statue of Liberty stand in New York Harbor?
Because she can't sit down.

My DB kindergarten jokes, 1987.

I agree - it seems I spend more time expaining the jokes from Popsicle sticks than them eating them! Why can't they make them understandable to kids! Especially the Dora ones - I mean you know little kids are going to eat them so make the jokes for 4 year olds!

I told this joke to Cooper and this is how all of his jokes go now:

Knock knock
who's there
Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse who
Knock Knock
who's there
Purple
Purple who
Knock knock. . .
and on and on and on until I say enough with the knock knock jokes!

I find that I spend as much time explaining the jokes to Jackson as we do laughing about them!
