I seen this listing on craigslist and I responded out of curiousity. He is selling disney tickets. In the listing on craigslist he said he accepts paypal or cash and will meet you at disney. His prices are real low. He has his phone number and email address in the listing also I wrote him asking how many tickets he had and how much they were, here was his response.

"Hi Tara, i have 2 Day Base ticket, ready to be picked up tomorrow for $ 80.00 each with No Expiration.I have any amount of tickets you will need; just let me know how many tickets do you need and i will have them ready to be picked up at any Disney ticket sales locations with a Valid Photo ID and a confirmation number i will provide to you via e-mail.
I also have 7 Day Park Hopper, 5 Day Park Hopper, 4,3,2 Day Park Hopper with No Expiration, never been used, never been finger printed or signed; they go from $ 150.00 each to $ 120.00 each for the 2 Day Park Hopper.
Any unused days never expire.
Thanks "

I just wrote him back asking him exactly which disney ticket sales place? I ask if I could just go to guest services at disney world and I told him I would be paying in cash also.
So what do you think?? I know some of you are way against buying disney tickets from any place but disney, but if he is willing to meet me at the parks, don't that say something?
Thanks!

If he is willing to meet you than go for it. you can always walk away with your cash in hand. If he wants to do it via the internet than look for another deal. If you order your tickets in advance i think you can get a slight discount. If not than you can go through mapleleaf or another place and get discounted tickets.

My concern would be that even if the person did meet up with you, how would you know once you got to the gate that the tickets were, in fact, unused. I don't know if there is a way to tell if the tickets are used or not by just looking at them?

There are tons of shacks in Orlando offering to buy your left over days and try to resell them to unsuspecting tourists, sounds like one has hooked you. THE only way to tell if there are and how many days are left on a ticket is to take it to a WDW Guest Services window and have them tell you. So you can see why it is really important how you buy your passes to WDW. ebay is another bad way to buy WDW passes.

Try UndercoverTourist.com

I would rather pay more and not have to worry the entire time from now until I walk through the turnstiles as to whether or not the tickets will be valid. And believe me, I am a bargain hunter. You cannot tell by looking at a ticket if it is valid, you have to put it through a reader, either at the turnstiles or Guest Services. It may be just me, but the wear and tear on my heart, worrying up until the final moment would not be worth it. My peace of mind is worth a lot more to me than a few dollars. There are a lot of reputable discounters to purchase from..AAA hasn't been mentioned yet.

I say skip it. He could rob you or worse....Don't risk it. Buy from a reputable broker.

Here are the updated emails from him..

"Hi Tara,
First of all i need your full name and address; i also need a telephone number; this is for verification.
Then i will e-mail to you a confirmation number .
Upon arrival, you can pick up your WILL CALL ticket by presenting the confirmation number ,along with a Valid Photo ID, at one of the following ticket sales locations:Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or the Ticket and Transportation Center at Magic Kingdom Park.
Therefore you should have everything by monday.
Thanks"

"Yes but right now my shipper is out in New York; therefore you need to send Payment after receiving your tickets
Thanks"

Your listing on Craigslist states you will accept cash and that you will meet us in disneyworld. Is this not the case?

"Hi Tara,
The 5 Day Park Hopper with Non Expiration is for $ 140.00 each.
Upon receiving your tickets order you must send Payment to my shipper ( check or Postal Money Order) address:
Mr Brian Murphy "

So, I could actually pick these up in the sales office. Do you think maybe he is a employee? This definitely sounds to good to be true, but if I actually pick them up in the office at disney world......

I still smell a fish.

Just because you would have tckets in hand does not mean they are good.Remember you will not know until you try to get in. RUN AWAY FAST!!!

I agree it all sounds very odd however if you are picking them up at guest services at a park I would think they could verify the days available on them right then and there.

But if I am understanding, She sends the guy her order then her money and he tells her to pick the tickets up at the parks guest services. At that point, guy has the money and guest services likely will say sorry nothing here for you to pick up. Go through Disney or a reputable ticket broker.

If he was an authorized seller of media, why is he selling via Craig's List? I'm sure many of the resale tickets are 'good.' But, some are not valid. You might get lucky and get a great deal. You'd feel terrific. But, if you consider the alternative and feel lousy, then don't chance it. If you can feel okay on the gamble of losing $140; give it a whirl and if it works, great. Of it doesn't work, then no big deal, you'll just pay full price at the gate, live and learn...then go for it. Just make sure you are very comfortable with EITHER outcome before you give up you money.

Do not buy from this person. Head the other direction and pat yourself on the back for having a ton of common sense. I recommend Undercover Tourist (through Mousesavers.com) as the best source as they have an excellent reputation and reasonably priced SAFE TO USE tickets. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Its just not worth it. I would run the other way too- right to a reputable dealer and enjoy your vacation instead of wondering if the tickets will actually be good when you get there.

I agree, i would find a better reliable company with great feed back. Just because it was listed on craigs list doesnt mean a thing.

I found a great boat from craigs list, i called the phone # and the gentleman was very nice and told me i could look at the boat at the storage place,
because they never took the boat out this season and it was in excellent condition and very clean and newly waxed. First of all he gave me a address that was in a subdivision, then the boat was not there but two doors down, he was not the owner of the boat, he was selling it for that person that lived at the house were the boat was and the boat did NOT have the options on the boat that was listed, the boat was dirty, fall leaves & locus and, garbage all over the boat like they just came back from a long weekend boat trip and kids spraying a water hose all over the boat with the cabin door open, keep in mind i seen this boat the end of july, we were not even into fall :confused3

needless to say DH and i ran very fast and never answered the gentleman's repeated phone calls.

i would be very carefull and buy smart buy from Disney or mousesavers. Oh, we did buy a boat from a marina, we decide to go directly thru a reliable source. Good Luck.

I wouldn't do it - it just doesn't sound right at all.

If you can't pay for the tickets from a reputable company, then you shouldn't be going.

It just sounds like you could get burned.
