If you ordered it, did you get it?
Here's my vent: I was working in the ER on the 27th of November when the sales flyer came out. They had the Kitchenaid professional 5 quart mixer for $199 and everything in the store was an additional 20 or 30 % off. I ended up getting the mixer (to be shipped to my daughter) for $181.
So, both myself and a coworker wanted to order the mixer. We went on line with our CCs immediately. The mixers showed on the home page, but when you clicked the link, it said the product wasn't found. My coworker called the 800 number for Target.com to order over the phone. It was obvious from the call that the person who she spoke with spoke minimal English. She was afraid she'd never het the mixer because of language issues. She (we found out later) did get the order in, but the Target employee typed her email address in incorrectly so she never got email updates on it. (More on that later). Though the plan had been to pass the phone to me after my coworker finished, I was also nervous ordering that way and went on my iPhone to the Target app where I was able to order the mixer online before my friend finished her phone order. The mixer I ordered was to be delivered to my daughter for Christmas.
A couple days later, I got an email that my order was backordered. I could expect delivery between Dec 9th and Jan 2nd. Luckily, I remembered to warn my coworker about the backorder as she never got the email because her email address had been entered incorrectly by the Target online. And, to add to the aggravation, the emails stated that if you didn't "agree" to the backorder dates, your order would be automatically cancelled. I agreed to the backorder hoping that it would arrive by Christmas...
My friend's mixer arrived on Dec 22nd. My daughter's didn't. Last evening, I went back to my order to check the tracking. I figured since it's supposed to arrive by Monday, it should have been shipped. Nope. Last night I got another email. ANOTHER back order (that had to be accepted) that wouldn't have my daughter's Christmas present to her until FEBRUARY. Seriously? I attempted calls to Target online and was repeatedly hampered by the language issue. It's obvious that they read from a script.
Today I finally found a number for customer service that's answered in the US. I found out that the mixer I'd ordered (in silver) was out of stock with an unknown restock time. There was a red and black model available. (Neither which would match my daughter's kitchen). I texted my coworker thinking she'd obviously ordered a different color than me, hence her shipment arriving on time. And no, she ordered sliver.
So for whatever reason, she got her mixer, and my daughter remains lacking her major Christmas present from me.
Sorry this got so long...but just wondering if I'm the only unlucky soul stuck in this infernal, aggravating circle.
