I know some sailings that leave PC when there are two ships in port have already happened... What was the process? What other terminal is DCL using?

The original DCL pier is #8. When the need a second pier they use #10, which is nearby.

Does terminal 10 have it's own parking etc? Just trying to figure out how much of a hassle this is going to be... tempted to spend an extra $100 and move to a sailing later in the month

Im looking at Sept on the Magic. I assume that they would want the Wish sailing out of 8 vs the Magic but I might be wrong

Terminal 10 is sort of backwards to Terminal 8 process. You have to enter the parking garage first, then you are directed to drop off luggage zone, then you park your car. You walk over to Terminal building and go through the security screening and then you do the check in with them checking your passports, etc. Also no permanent Disney theming. There’s some DCL signs and photo backdrop for a picture before you get on the ship.

This is incorrect. I just got off my 4th cruise in the past 7 months last week via terminal 10.

Terminal 10 allows passengers to drop their bags off first with the porter(s) and then go back to either the original garage or the new one (more convenient) right next to it. The entrance for both parking garages is the same. The new parking garage serves as the primary as you'll go through the original first. In fact, the new parking garage has its own set of porters, but it the last to load onto the ship. So we opt for the easy drop-off next to the terminal each time.

We have been sailing MSC out of PC since Terminal 10 became MSC's Terminal and the process is as described ^^^^.

A fly in the Parking ointment is the garage opening time when arriving early AND the route needed to take to get IN LINE to enter the garages.

We do MSC and this past time was the first that they have a sign with a traffic guard that allows you (holds incoming vehicles) to cross over to the parking entrance after baggage drop-off; it was so much better than my previous sailings and the infamous U-turns.

I never get to the terminal before 11:30 AM so the 10:30 AM opening time doesn't affect me/us.

I sailed the Wish last Thanksgiving weekend. Got directed into garage entry where you paid for the parking when through the garage then to area where they were taking your checked luggage. When I sailed on Fantasy last October from Terminal 8. I got in the line to drop off luggage first and then drove a little bit further down made a left into parking entrance.

That was just my experience. Either way it’s not a super big deal. They will direct you where to go.

Regarding terminal 10, with the new garage now open, they give cruisers a choice. Either drop-off luggage first via a turnaround next to the terminal and then park (still have to pay to enter garages). Or pay to enter garages and drop-off luggage with porter(s) in the garage. But as stated, the garage luggage is loaded last onto the ship, so if timing is important, a cruiser may want not to want to go this route.

Last week DW, DD and her 2 girls did Seashore YC and as DW and I always do, arrived early so it was DW + girls and luggage dropped off then DD did the right U-turn but had to pass the cross-over into garage entrance and get on the end of the longggg line then wait until 10:30 gates up. Later arrival apparently has its parking advantages so we might get there later for our Seashore and Grandiosa cruises.

p.s. - When DW and I would arrive before 9:30 during COVID, I dropped her and luggage at YC Tent and she was escorted up right away, I parked and return to tent, was greeted with *Your wife is waiting* went up, checked in and in a few minutes was on our way to the ship. Oh the good old day's

I think that they will do some more construction at DCL and/or terminal 10 to help with traffic flow in the future. It's still a cobbled mess for most guests driving in.

Even the YC drop-off on the opposite side isn't well noted/marked, but the front side is however it is not near the porter station, and you have to barge in between the guest line. I somewhat chuckle at folks trying to get on the ship as early as possible, when all we do is walk right on by waiting an hour or so; it makes embarkation day that much less stressful especially with the parking situation.

With the new MSC terminal just about ready to open in Miami, we look forward to both the Seaside and World America sailings out of that port.
