I am thinking about getting a pair of Crocs for my next Disney trip. I haven't found any yet but saw something calle Holey Shoes in the new Lee Valley catalogue. They are only 19.99, and I have heard that Crocs are around 30.00. Does anyone know if there is a difference in these two shoes? :confused3

Any input will help. Thanks.

ok please share... I've sen lots of posts about 'crocks' but what the heck are they? Sandles?

I need to find a good pair of sandles this summer... my rockports are dead and my softmoc sandles I got last year just didn't hold up and there's nothing worse then having to wear runners and have hot feet!!

I have a pair of knock off crocs from payless in the States. They are very comfortable. I initially got blisters where the strap of the shoe is put together. My feet love these shoes. I was walking by our local shoe store here in my town and noticed he had them in his window. I asked how much he is selling them for and they are $35. They are worth every penny. Anytime someone notices them I tell them to try them on. People can't believe how comfortable they are! www.crocs.com

(Love my knock offs) :rotfl:

My DW and oldest DD had crocks and after a month threw them in the garbage they gave them blistes on their feet and were very uncomfortable and made their feet sweat like crazy. The blisters were on teh top of the foot where the shoe opening was and no matter what they tried it didn't help they would never get another pair again.

I love mine, I suffer from leg pain and have difficulty with my left knee and these are a lifesaver for me. I found mine at a local Stedman's for $27.99 can. I bought three pairs and I share with my mother. They are great on vacation because you can go right into water with them. They are really lightweight too. :thumbsup2 I have the Cayman style shoes. I wore them to the Dominican for 2 weeks and had no problem with blisters or with sweating but I am the only one with my feet so can't comment on anyone else's experience. I had read positive things about them and decided that at that price it was worth the risk.

LEE VALLEY thanks for the head's up! I have called around in Ottawa with no luck on people carrying these!

We carry them at SPORTCHEK (I am a SGM for them). All of our Coast Mountain Sport locations currently have them. The Chek is getting them in the next week or 2 (just recieved a plannogram for them). Try sportchek.ca for info. They where origional designed to be gardening clogs. I am tried a true Birkenstock wearer all the way myself. With a 7 year cork footbed gaurantee on their product and Geman sensibility they've been a lifesaver for my fallen arches and strained tendon in my right ankle (broke it). My mom is 70 and very arthritic, she wears them all day long in the house. She had so much fluid on here right knee at one point that they doctor was talking drastic measures. I bought her a pair and told her to leave them on. Problem solved. My assistant manager is a Kineseology graduate with a minor in Biomechanics and he swears by them. Lots of lateral stability and unwaiver, unyeilding support. Plus everyone looks sexy in them! :hippie:

pkitty,

Can you let us know if sportchek or CMS will be getting the croc's athen's flip flop stlye in this spring? I so want a pair of the light blue with white foot bed, and maybe even a lime with fushia foot bed.

I have my beach style, mine where made in Canada, on right now and like them, the best part is that my feet don't get that tired feeling at the end of the day. But I do get a blister when the strap meets the shoe, so I wear them with the strap pushed forward.

The Ontario Segeway dealer, in the distrillary district, is selling the crocs, so try a croc and ride a segway, lol. Holey shoes, Canadian brand (made in China,) have been seen at MEC and at Europe Bound on King St. (near Spadina)

Sorry for the delay..I've been sick as a dog for the last few days. Just got back to work today and my first shipment of Crocs are in. They are 34.99. I tried them on and to my surprise they are comfy! Upon further inspection (and reading the tag a little more closely) I realized that they are anti- microbial (this might be the biggest diference betwen the "real" Crocs and the knockoffs that are on the market) so this means no stinky shoes and feet. :crazy2: Nice bonus! As it stands right now we only have them in solid colours but that may change as we get into the season. They have the strap that flips forward so they can be worn either way and they have lots of ventilation too. I was pretty impressed actually (hard to do with all the footwear we carry). Stop in and take a look at your nearest location. We should all have them by the end of the week. :thumbsup2

The SportChek in Burlington Mall has Crocs. They are the Beach style. There were numerous colours. I think orange, three shades of blue, black, brown, white and yellow.

Got my first real Crocs yesterday. I paid $34.99 at our local shoe store. They are a little snug, but they'll loosen up before my trip!

I would like to get a pair also. Do they stretch? :confused3 How should they fit when I buy them? Loose or snug?

I've got a wide foot so it's snug on mine. Yes, they will eventually stretch.

just called my local sport chek and they have them in stock! he said they j ust got a whole bunch lots of colours and are $35 for the Beach. yea! guess where i am going?!?!?! WHOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO now to choose a colour....maybe the light blue, maybe red (to be like minnie mouse. lol) hmmm or maybe a fun green! oh the possibilities!

I don't own a pair of these but there must be something about them because the majority of the nurses on the surgical floor that I am the physio on wear them. 12 hour shifts speak volumes.

I work for the U of T bookstore, and our Athletic Centre shop is meeting with the Canadian Crocs rep. on Tuesday, so we might be selling them at the stores. All I can say is staff discount!!! So I am holding off until I find out if we will be carring them before I order a pair of the Athens.

I have had 5 people at work actually notice my shoes this week, lol.
