Cooling Towels? Frogg Toggs, Enduracool, Way2Cool?

I need to make a decision. From reviews on Amazon, it seems that Frogg Toggs get really cold but dry like cardboard and can get moldy. Reviews on Enduracool are mixed. Way2Cool supposedly stays soft when dry, but a lot of the reviewers were compensated for their "unbiased" reviews.

So, now I'm looking for more opinions on any of these cooling towels, or any others you can suggest. TIA!

I can only talk about the Frogg Toggs, but I like them. Yes they get like cardboard when dry, but I never let them get dry in the parks. When I'm done, I simply roll them up loosely and let them dry like that. Never had mold problems going on 2 years with a few.

We bought the Enduracool towels. We weren't impressed. They were cool but not for long and then we just had this wet towel around our necks. They do get cold, just don't stay that way for long. Not with the intense heat and humidity of a FL summer. We didn't want the other brands because they all had chemicals in the fabric. Needless to say we will stick to our misting fans this year.

We've had our frogg toggs about 4-5 years. Like PP, we keep them damp while in parks (ziploc bags when not using during the day, but usually we are wearing them). We rinse at night and lay flat (we do not leave them in ziploc bags overnight). In morning, we dampen them again to get them ready for the parks. When they dry, they do dry like cardboard. When we return home from trip, we wash in washing machine (cold water) and lay flat to dry. Once dry (flat/cardboard), we store them until our next trip. We have not had any trouble with mold. We travel in August and consider them a necessity for our family. Just our experience.

What are Frogg Toggs? Sorry I have never heard of them. We are going in September this year, so I am looking for ways to stay cool when we are out in the heat/humidity.

I tossed our Frog Toggs after using them on one trip. They didn't work that well and smelled funky from the get go.

We have the Frogg Toggs and couldn't figure out how to deal with them drying stiff. They also didn't feel cool for very long for us - they just got our collars damp. Heavier than I wanted (5 of us) and they mostly stayed in the backpack. I've heard that cutting them in half is better. My SIL and family love them though. It must be a YMMV kind of item. I bought small misters for this year instead.

Frog Togs
Followed the instruction and put them while damp back into their original containers. All of the either molded or got funky smelling

Enduracool
Didn't really cool well, but wash and dry well. No funk or mold.

Way2cool - haven't tried. Where are they sold?

We have tried Frog Toggs and felt they were too large( later we cut them in half) to wear in the park and the coolness didn't last long in the September heat. We simply use a washcloth from the hotel in a ziplock with a small frozen chiller( lunchbox size). When we are extremely hot, we pull out a tiny handheld fan( that holds water and mists when the button is held).

I use the Dr. Cool Chill Sports Towel. They are amazing. They are washable and just require you to wet snap and then wear. I got 3 for free from runDisney events and now carry them with me every trip. They cook and stay cool and if they aren't cool any more a quick trip to the bathroom to rewet fixes it or youncan give it a few snaps if it is wet to get it cool again.

Frog toggs I hated because they gave my whole group rashes after about 30 minutes of wear. Later found out frog toggs with get water from anything including your skin so some people can have a reaction to that.

All of these evaporative cooling products work better in lower humidity, which Florida isn't especially known for.

I do like my Frogg Toggs in the summertime, when anything is better than nothing, but you'll still see me with a misting fan, a big floppy hat, and a sun umbrella.

Yep, our Frog Toggs molded before we ever got to use them! Tried them out before we left for our trip...packed them in our park bag...I noticed they were covered in black spots in the middle of Epcot. Straight in the trash.

We did not like the Froggy Toggs. They were smelly and moldy. After reading a bunch of reviews we tried Frosty Towels last summer. We liked them much better. They are small, but they did not smell and stayed cool for a while. I put them in the freezer overnight and we used them like washcloths on our necks. I believe they sell these in the parks, but we bought them on Amazon. I just discovered they are much cheaper if you buy direct from their website, and also come in two sizes: personal size (12 by 12) and sports size (12 by 24).

Love my Frog Togg Chilly Pads! Would not have survived the August heat without that coolness on my neck! Humidity or not, they were a Godsend! I'm wondering why so many of you are experiencing a funky smell or mouldy pad. Hmmmm....I have had mine for 2+ years now and I haven't yet smelled anything foul. I machine washed them after any excessive use, before putting them away for the season, and when I took them out to use again. And they need to be stored damp, so I also washed the container very well before winter storage. Each time they were fine.
