Contracts drying up??

I also think AKV is going to get a lot harder after BWV, BRV, and BCV are closed in 2042.
Yep, I agree.

I’m currently keeping any 2042 contracts in Oct, so after 2042 everything left will all be in Sept, but I keep thinking if I’m in need of points what are my best options, and AKV and SSR keep popping up (to go into Sept), although it always leads me back to… just buy more BLT and/or CCV. lol

Did someone discuss here, or somewhere else, an $89,000 contract that would have been a great use of SAP? Or was it another one of those glitchy listings that gets taken down or modified shortly after it's put up?

I don't recall but I really hope it doesn't come with VB's dues for that price!!

wow i took a look at the site aggregator ... when I bought BLT resale it was only a tiny but more expensive (per point) than SSR. like $5 pp. Now it looks like BLT is around $120 or more, while SSR is under $90? (admittedly I sorted by **** rating)

The current resale listing situation is not great. Most contracts are stripped and with unrealistic prices. Sellers counteroffers are ridiculous. Like $1 below listing. I have been following it closely the past month or two and it’s not great. I expect it to get better now that dues are going to be posted. But I’m almost pulling the trigger for direct.

It s possible that you are thinking of a recent convo re VGC. It was thrown around about a low price per point for VGC, since it was a low price it was kind of like at that price maybe you could use as sap!! But it turned out to not be a VGC but rather a VDH so not a good price per point.

Went from screaming deal to preposterously overpriced when they fixed the hotel.

I've been looking to add on since a recent trip and there are only 5 contracts for AKL with a September UY, none under 100 points and all priced $10+ more than I paid only back in March 24.

Sellers not interested in any offers but I don't think it helps that 3 of the 5 are with the same Broker

Give it a couple months, there will be plenty to choose from. ;)

Feb & March can be like a fire sale.!!
OOOOoooooh, I got a pretty sweet contract last February. Actually starting right about now, sellers get super motivated to sell, with MFs coming up.

But also, with AKV, if you look over on the ROFR threat, DVD is scooping up a lot AKV contracts right now. So have realistic expectations on this.

Yep, I bought my first one in March last year. I thought it was an amazing unicorn, but turns out that's just how winter goes sometimes.

Oh, I'd better have a look at that otherwise I'm going to set myself up for a ROFR snatch!
Probably the ONLY time you'll feel good paying a few bucks more per point lol. I remind myself, the upfront cost is not such a big deal when you figure you are paying Annual Fees for 18 to 40 years ;) If you want to put the brakes on you Add-Ons, just put your annual fees in an excel spreadsheet with a 3.5 to 5 percent increase each year. It's a especially intimidating if you put your Age in one column. I walked away from adding a high points contract (which honestly, was not right for me) one time after doing exactly that ...
