Does anyone have this creditcard? Citi changed me to this card. I read on a board that its not a good card because theres no credit limit reported to credit score companies which will lower my credit score.

I had the citi plantinum dividend card. If anyone has it what do you think about it and is there a way to be converted back to my old plantinum dividend card?????

If they converted you, it's likely your old card product isn't available anymore.

There wasn't a credit limit on the card? Even when you go to accountonline to look it up?

I just looked up my acct and it says
Total Revolving Credit Line $_ _,_ _ _ it has an actual number limit i dont want to post-

I just caught the card and havent activated it. Plus I had $149.00 that was on my old card that rolled over to the new acct. I will pay that off. Is this a bad card to have or are all creditcard converting to this?

If i dont call to activated it will i be safe?? I have a great credit score and dont want this to ruin it

Just got the card. Yes, they have a limit but they aren't put on your credit report. It seems that if you charge $1,500 a month that is what will show as your limit. I have heard but don't know that EQ and EX don't figure that card in for FICO but TU does so it will always look like you are at the top of your limit which decreases your FICO.

I meant to apply for the Citi Plat dividend but put in the code for the World Master instead. I called to try to change it but they said no.

I wont be charging $1,500 a month on it. I dont even want this card since it will affect my credit score that i worked so hard to keep high score. I know i cant close it because that will look bad too. I feel stuck!!!! I have $76 reward dollars from the old account that i plan on cashing out and retire the citi cards in my drawer. I hope other creditcards dont follow this type of card. I have 3 more small creditcards to pay off and i'm done. I cant imagine how this will affect others with higher balances

BOA "Upgraded" one of my cards to a signature card with no credit limit, the older card had a very high credit limit and I had just added my nephew as an AU just to help his FICO, he only has one CC and this would have helped with his credit history and utilization.

I called BOA and told them I didn't need a line of credit that really wasn't helping me, they changed the card to another card they offered (Plantinum Plus Visa) and restored the original credit limit.

It took about a month but now my nephew was the history and the utilization to help him get started.

Edited to add: I pulled TU and Equfax to verify the new card when I recieved it, both credit reports had the $300.00 balance just added in on my total utilization without any credit available next to this new signaturw card.

They tried to change over our Platinum Dividend card and we caught that on the paperwork about the revolving limit and called and declined it to keep the Platinum Dividend card instead. Clark Howard was just warning people about that "trick" from CC companies and to keep and eye out for it not a week before we got the notice (not really an offer since it is automatic unless you opt out).

Aside from that we've been very happy with our Citi Platinum Dividend card for the last about 4 years. But if they try to screw us we'll drop them like a lead balloon given all of their other antics in the world of finance.

whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww1 just got off with citi. I told them i wasnt happy with my card changing and if i could Please convert it back to my old card because i didnt want my credit score being affect. The rep told me they are doing away with the old ones and going to this new card way. The rep checked and said it wouldnt affect my credit score because it only would show the balance or balance if you went over. I told him I've been on the budget board and read it like your at the top of your limit and it can drop your credit score. And if thats the case to change mine to another similar card as my old one or I'm not activating my worlds card. The rep put me on hold and came back to say they woould convert it back. I'll keep ya posted.

now i better check to see if dh got the same card because he has his own acct.
