Is the Chick-Fil-A at the Orlando airport in a location where we could eat there when our plane arrives, before we go to ME? My DH and I love love love Chick-Fil-A and we don't have it here in MN so I thought we'd try to hit that before heading over to our resort. I found it on the map of MCO but still can't quite figure whether it would be reachable and if so, whether it'd be a manageable thing to do.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Oh yea it is! My DH and I do that very thing, with the exception that it's the Nathan's not the Chick-fil-A. (don't judge ) The food court is very large and very easy to get to. It won't be a hassle at all.

Happy Happy Happy!!

We only get Chick-Fil-A when we go to my family's in Kentucky, and my DH only gets to go with us at the holidays, so he'll be thrilled to start our WDW vacation with a Chick-Fil-A sandwich! Maybe I'll save that as his little surprise....he's a simple man ;)

And we know all about the closed-on-Sundays thing. That makes me like Chick-Fil-A even more....a company standing behind its beliefs. We fly home on Sunday, so we'll definitely hit it up when we get there on a Friday.

Thanks for the help!

Yes, they are there, not on Sunday. Not sure why, but, it is what it is, and sort of bad for business and travelers. But anyway, the quality of the food there is lacking. Too greasy.

The "official" explanation:

Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. He has often shared that his decision was as much practical as spiritual. He believes that all franchised Chick-fil-A Operators and their Restaurant employees should have an opportunity to rest, spend time with family and friends, and worship if they choose to do so. That's why all Chick-fil-A Restaurants are closed on Sundays. It's part of our recipe for success.

Thanks for that. Makes sense, but, certainly annoys a lot of people at MCO. It bothers me not, as I don't like the food.

Hello from MN (North St Paul) :) I work at the airport & they just opened Chick-Fil-A last week & I had my 1st sandwich yesterday !!!!!!!! YUMMY. The one at the airport has a small menu but it was good! So you can arrive a little early & grab some in MN :) Its on the C concourse! :yay:

I had breakfast at the Chick-Fil-A at MCO recently and I noticed that they have a more limited menu than most Chick-Fil-A's. But if you just want to try an original chicken sandwich and waffle fries you should be fine.

Hey CapnJacksGirl, I spent a couple of semesters at University Of Minnesota and they have a Chick-fil-a on campus. Kinda limited hours, but could be good if you need a fix and your not too far from the campus. Call first to check daily hours

Awesome!!! I had heard there was one there but we've never found it! (But considering we were wandering aimlessly, it's no big surprise.) I'll check it out....thanks for the number!

I first experienced Chick-Fil-A in Orlando so was real happy when they had one on campus when I was doing my thesis. Unfortunately they aren't open late so we had to stock up earlier in the day for those late night cram sessions.

Another chicken place you might like to try that has come up to Orlando from Miami is a place called Pollo Tropical (chicken on the grill). It's fast food but it's Caribbean type food grilled chicken diners, chicken bowls, chicken sandwiches, mojo pork, ribs, Caribbean soups, salads, yellow rice, beans etc.
The Mrs and I love it. The first time we went we arrived for an early lunch just after 11am and they had the whole grill full of chicken cooking, it smelled wonderful. Prices are very reasonable and the food is awesome. Meals start at about $5. There is about a dozen locations now in the Orlando area.
