How long a walk is it to Epcot from Swan/Dolphin? We are looking at eating at the Swan or Dolphin instead of some disney places b/c free dining is on when we are there and we'd like to avoid some of the madness. We usually spend evenings at Epcot and would like to park at the hotel, eat and walk over to the WS for the evening. Can it be done?

You can walk from the International Gateway entrance of Epcot (between UK and France) to Swan/Dolphin. I think it took us about 12 minutes? There is also a boat, which takes a bit longer. We stayed at the Dolphin recently and walked back and forth to Epcot nearly everyday.

Enjoy your trip!

It is definitely do-able. I would say about a 15 minute walk, but I am just estimating, based on the time it took us to walk from the BC to Epcot and the time it took us to walk from the BC to Fantasia mini golf (just past the Swan/Dolphin).

There are also the boats, but I think walking may be faster.

THanks so much. We usually do the walk from Yacht or Beach Club with no trouble, so this sounds doable. Any suggestions on which restaurants to book there? We are headed to Garden Grove one night to meet Goofy and Pluto (Med night). Is BBQ night worth a try too? How is Il Mulino, the Fountain? I think Bluezoo and Shulas are too fancy with our little ones.

I haven't been to those restaurants yet but just wanted to let you know that most of the restaurants you just mentioned are on Restaurant.com and you can get a $25 gift certificate for from $2 to $10 depending on the deal they are running.

If you wanted to take the boat to Epcot after you get on they will then stop at the Yacht Club/Beach Club and Boadwalk before you reach the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. So I would say walking is a lot faster and agree that from the Swan/Dolphin 15 minutes sounds like a good estimated time.

We ate at Garden Grove for Mediterranean night, the food was great. It was not crowded at all, the kids had a lot of character interaction with Goofy and Pluto. I wouldn't go for 2 nights, though.

Fountain is great for the $, but it's a small place. It's basically the same price as Picabu, but with table service. Good food, though. I wouldn't take kids to bluezoo or Shula's, either (though of the two, bluezoo seems more fun for kids).

I would check out some of the restaurants on the Boardwalk, there are tons to choose from.

You will have to pay to park there -the parking is not free - they may validate for some of the upper end restaurants but I am not sure about that at all. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that.
