We had a new bathtub installed a few months ago in our home back in OH and DH bought me a bunch of bubble bath from Bath and Body Works. Since we moved into our new apartment in CA we no longer have a tub. Can I use the bubble bath as shower gel? I'm not sure if it even has any cleaning agents and I'm afraid it will dry out my skin. What should I do?

I often use the Shower Gel as bubble bath, but I've never tried it the other way! Go ahead and give it a shot - how different can it be, really? Just rinse extra well and use a moisturizer if your skin feels dry.

I have no idea but isn't bubble bath a bit more oily? I would think maybe.....LOL......that helps huh! Do it and let us know!

scientifically speaking, they should both be just soaps with some thickeners in them. the bubble bath might be a little thicker than the shower gel (to get those nice bubbles you see), but they are both the same thing. soap. go ahead and lather up. i don't see why not??

Surfactant preparations for this purpose are themselves called "bath foam", "foaming bath", or "bubble bath", and frequently contain ingredients for additional purposes common to bath additives. Used at much higher concentration (for instance on a waschloth), such preparations (especially in liquid form) may also be used to wash skin or hair, so they are sometimes marketed for combined purposes; in a few cases, mild household detergents for hand washing of articles have also been labeled for such purposes, or for preventing soap scum on the bathtub (with or without foaming).

So I guess you could.

I'm sure you could. Gosh, I think that some shower gels work better than bubble bath. Maybe it's the same way visa-versa.

You can- B&BW was out of Winter Candy Apple shower gel last year and all that was left was bubble bath. The clerk told me that basically they are the same thing so I used it.

As long as it smells yummy, it is ok by me!:rotfl:

I've used B&BW bubble bath and shower gel pretty much interchangeably and haven't noticed any real difference between the two, so I say go for it!

I think they are probably the same thing, just the bubble bath is a bit thicker!
