I have to wonder, does it have a similar affect to eating beets? If you know what I mean....
We probably won't eat here, knew that before the prices. But I am interested in seeing what it looks like inside so hopefully can peek in and get a slice of the raspberry champagne cake for take out at the counter, it sounds amazing.
I was aware of the edible glitter but just missed that it was being used on entrees. Perhaps the poster was joking?
I got it from the youtube video c@tk!ng posted earlier in the thread and I can't quote it for some reason, but it's in the video at 5:18. I rewatched it to find the timestamp and it's the buttered noodles, not mac and cheese.[video link]
This is a short video from their Carmel Location from last year. A quick look at the atmosphere and some of the food /cake portions.
While its not for me, I can see it being a hit with the "ladies do lunch" crowd and the kiddos. It definitely fits with the Disney theme.
I just hope they turn the former BRG into some sort of sports bar. That way there is something for everyone in the family
Funny they say "exclusive". I've heard of edible glitter LONG before hearing about this place.
Yes, but it isn’t “pixie dust” edible glitter. The trademark makes it tastier.Funny they say "exclusive". I've heard of edible glitter LONG before hearing about this place.
That's "Princess Fart Sparkle" to you, Bub.Eat to much of it people will call you "FART SPARKLE"
Upon considering this on a more serious note I think this is the key- their demographic. It’s not Disney normal, so it’s not most of us. It’s these splurgy, girly trips. So, the q will be are there enough of those to sustain a TS + QS window?… it’s hilarious to me that people think this place won’t be a hit with the mommy daughter/bachelorette/girls trip demographic it’s squarely aimed at…
I just googled Serendipity 3 and at one time they had the .......$25,000.00 Frozen Haute Chocolate. You know, I did some thinking, and there's a place not too far from where I live that serves the Golden Opulence Sundae for $1,000.00. Yes, it's an ice cream sundae. (If you're interested in looking it up, google it and "Serendipity 3".)
This sundae makes Gwendolyn's prices look downright cheap!
I’d be so bad at being rich. I’d be like “Sure- but I know this other place with like 31 flavors!”I just googled Serendipity 3 and at one time they had the .......$25,000.00 Frozen Haute Chocolate.
Gwen's treats all look like a bargain now!
Tbh I really think there are and I think folks are severely underestimating the amount of people doing trips like that. Especially the adult family demographic that tends to have the disposable income for it and the “treat yourself” mindset. Admittedly my partner and I fall squarely in that demographic. We’re the type to not bat an eyelash at upcharge experiences, we do spa days at the Grand pretty much every trip, etc. We know very well it’s not necessarily always going to be an experience worth the price tag, but we go on vacation to have fun and sometimes that means spending $20 on a pre mixed margarita in a Star Wars themed bar. Every time we go to the GF spa the lounge is filled with adult mom/daughter duos severely overpaying for manipedis. My most memorable ride on Flight of Passage was with a large group of AKA sorority sisters from Houston who were all first timers on a girls trip together and they would have eaten this place up. Anectdata I know, but I really think there is an audience for it. If nothing else it’ll be a smash hit with the IG/TT set who love this kind of aesthetic. To be blunt the people who are scoffing at the use of glitter are not really the target demo for this place lol.Upon considering this on a more serious note I think this is the key- their demographic. (I think the exorbitant kids meals might be well played, they serve to make bank on the committed + deter large groups with kids who could turn a fancy environment a ruckus situation.)

It’s funny you guys should mention Serendipity bc it’s the exact kind of place I was thinking of when I mentioned “tourist baity places with high prices here at home”. They’re actually very old but they chase publicity every so often with stunts like that. Mostly they are extremely popular with tourists for the Frozen Hot Chocolate that would not be out of place on Cake Bake Shop’s menu. Everything else is so so but tourists can’t get enough of it.You know, I did some thinking, and there's a place not too far from where I live that serves the Golden Opulence Sundae for $1,000.00. (Okay, we know her prices ain't cheap, but they can be worse as evidenced above!)

Ah, but do you have that “not so fresh feeling” after a long park day?!We're both pretty basic and casual.
I have never seen glitter on any of our food or desserts, we all tend to get different items. I don’t believe this is true that glitter is on everything.I got it from the youtube video c@tk!ng posted earlier in the thread and I can't quote it for some reason, but it's in the video at 5:18. I will say minus the glitter, it's the best looking buttered noodles I've seen - using cavatappi and a LOT of parmesan cheese, so that's another plus for CBS. Not $18 worth imo, but not your typical buttered noodle either.
My "and other savory foods" comment was from the multiple Google reviews that say glitter is on everything, not just the cakes. I have never been to Indiana so I can only go by reviews I see online.
For me, glitter outside of desserts and beverages is a no go. Didn't like glitter as a kid and still don't to this day. To each their own.
