Boston restaurants: What is within walking distance of the Wang Theater??

Hi everyone!

We're going to be in Boston for the weekend of January 17th, to see Jerry Seinfeld on-stage. We're staying at the Wyndham-Tremont Hotel which is right next to the Wang Theater. We plan on driving in, then valet-parking our car, and leaving it there until we check out the next morning. What restaurants are in CLOSE proximity to the Wang? Remember, this is going to be the middle of January, in Boston!! It's gonna be FREEZING , with possible snow and/or ice, so we want a nice, close restaurant, since we'll be walking. Are there are decent restaurants very close by?? Thanks!!

I used to work at New England Medical Center so this was my old neighborhood.

There's Bennigan's at the Corner of Stuart and Charles Street (Transportation Building). Also, Brew Moon was a couple doors down, on Stuart Street. If that's not there I'm sure another restaurant has taken it's place. Inside the Transportation Building there is a section of eateries with pizza, subs, etc. If you go through the alleyway, to Boylston Street, Remmington's Pub is to the right. It's more of a bar but they have pub food too.

Jacob Wirth's is on Stuart too, to the right going towards the Medical Center and Chinatown. They serve German style food, sandwiches, roasted Turkey, etc.

Tons of places in Chinatown as you head further down Stuart and then Kneeland Street. New Shanghai restaurant is very good.

If you are looking for an Au Bon Pain there is one within the main lobby of the Medical Center, off Washington Street.

Just an addendum to MargieJ's post. Brew Moon has been replaced by the Rock Bottom Cafe.

Also, about Kasar's list, Finale is a dessert place.

Also in the transportation building, there is a PF Chang's Chinese Restaurant, which is really good. It's a chain, and the food is excellent. I go there all the time. It's very funky, and just a fun place to go.

There is also a California Pizza Kitchen in the Transportation Building.

Finale may be a dessert place, but is THE dessert place (for me at least) in the whole country. Eat at Legal or where ever, and go to Finale after the show. If you're a sweets fan, you cannot miss this place!! We stayed at that hotel (it's lovely, although the rooms are on the small side) and Finale is about a 5-8 minute walk (we were also there in January, and could handle the cold for just about that long--us CA people aren't used to snow )

Wow, thanks everyone!! A limo driver that I spoke to recommended Jacob Wirth's. He mentioned it was a German restaurant and since my BIL is German, I might look that one up online. ALL of the restaurants sound great, though!!!
