calling robo the keeper of the maps
The gray area on Google Maps, not the satellite view, indicates the borders of WDW. Hey, there's my street.
I guess you should know, MB.The gray area on Google Maps, not the satellite view, indicates the borders of WDW. Hey, there's my street.
That's interesting. I wonder if there is some sort of connection between the WWS not being shown on WDW property and the fact the the town of Celebration became a non Disney entity. Or it could be just a Google Maps mistake. So, according to that map Disney's Wide World of Sports is not on Disney property?

Has to be a map error. I read that the land Disney offered for the HS Rail station is just east of EWWS, and that is also non-gray on the map. It also has the property line east of 429 on Western Way, and I'm pretty sure Flamingo Crossings west of 429 is Disney property.
BTW, the latest figure for the area of WDW is 25,000 acres or 29 square miles. 8,000 acres is set aside for conservation land. Source: WDW Library and Research Center.
The 25,000 acres is correct, but the 29 is a typo, should be 39.Hmmm... where did I get that 47 mile number? I'd say it was a bus driverbut I think it was our DVC van driver!
You left that little plot of land where the Bonnet Creek Resort is. That's not Disney property. South of Buena Vista Drive and East of Epcot Center Drive.
