My wife and I are taking our first Disney Cruise in quite some time. We've taken four cruises before, as far back as 2006 and as recently as 2018. But this is our first since COVID and the many changes it wrought, and our first as members of DVC. That is the end at which I am starting this thread to ask some questions. I'll probably have similar quewstions wrt cruise and booking things, but I'll put that in the appropriate forum. This is about booking a DVC room the night before the cruise and the night we return. And setting up the transfers and all that.

The cruise is the Oct 25th - Nov 1st (Halloween FTW), which is a SAT to a SAT. So we'd like to stay at a DVC resort on Friday, Oct 24 (EPCOT location, so we can F&W on Oct 24th), then transfer to PCAN for the cruise on Saturday AM. On the Return to Port on Nov 1st, we'd like to head back to Orlando, hang out at Disney Springs, have a relaxing day, spend the night at a DVC resort (probably Saratoga Springs).

We may rent points for that Friday night (since I doubt any EPCOT resort will still have availability). I believe I can get Saratoga for 1 Nov at 7 months, but I may just rent that one as well. What information do I need to set up the transfers with DCL, and will staying at two different resorts at each end present any problem? Has someone worked through this before and discovered challenges I should look out for? Appreciate any insight.

Cruise transfers are basically one way each. When you call either DCL or your TA (if you used one), let them know what the pickup location is for the transfer to the port and then the drop off location for the transfers from the port.

It won't be a problem. Just tell Disney your plan when booking transfers, and they'll make sure you get to and from the correct resorts.

Same as above, though I think you will need to know for sure what resorts you'll be transferring from when booking transfers.

You just tell DCL where you want to be picked up from and where to go
