For those shopping at Walmart and/or Target during the wee hours...
...do keep in mind that the biggest and hottest items will not sit in their usual departments for BF (i.e., TVs will not be in the Electronics Dept.).
Where will they be?
For Walmart shoppers, go to www.facebook.com/walmart and select the "My Local Walmart" tab on the left side of the FB page, and "Like" your local WM store -- a complete floorplan of your store will then appear with locations for the BF merchandise you want most. As most Walmarts are open all day Thanksgiving, the BF merchandise will be "under wraps" (normally a pallet covered with black plastic) until it is time to sell (10:00 p.m., 12:00 a.m., etc.). Typically, those interested will start to huddle around the merchandise pallet sometime after dinner...
For Target shoppers, go to www.target.com/blackfriday and select your local store -- as with WM, a complete floorplan of your local store will be available with locations for the BF merchandise you want most. Merchandise will be spread-out along the main "racetrack" floor, and many items will not be in their usual departments. As Target stores are more varied in floorplans that WM, it is imperative that shoppers check the website to see where your merchandise will be.
Other large stores may adopt similar procedures -- best to check their websites/facebook pages for more info...
Good Luck!!
