Has anyone done Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique‎ for the boys? I think it's called the Knight Package. Did your boys like it?

My DS did it when he was about 7. At first he wasn't interested, then he found out he would get a shield and sword

It goes really quick for the boys. They just put gel in his hair to make sort of a mohawk style, then colored it and put in a bunch of Mickey confetti (if I am remembering correctly). He was able to pick the colors that he wanted.

But it has been a few years since he did it so they may have changed things now.

My son absolutely loved it.. I did it when he was 10 at DL and again just last year when he was 12 at WDW .. They did up his hair really nicely at WDW and gave him a multicolored mohawk at DL which he got rave reviews from everyone about the entire day..even got a lot more character interraction especially from the cool shield/ sword they give them. "Dale" tried sword fighting him and other passerby's .. it was pretty funny and I got a few camera shots so that was great! They put all kinds of glitter and sparkly "mickey" confetti on their head and sometimes the "fairy godmother's in training" will walk the park and sprinkle more "pixie dust" on the kids.. I only saw this actually though at DL. They even paint a little "hidden mickey" on the back of their hair so it's really cool for them to see it in the mirror afterwards :goodvibes

I highly recommend it ;)

Actually just reserved a spot for my DS 10 at the Disney 365 place DTD. He heard my DD10 talking about her reservation and wanted one too. They do the same hair for boys as BBB but they get drumsticks instead of sword and shield.

I made an appointment for my son for our trip to DLR next month. It's going to be fun. Do they have Photopass photographer there??

In Nov 2012, my three sons got the Knight's Package, and they loved it. They're quick, and YES, there are PP photographers there. My middle guy is quite a little ham and gave great face during the big Magical Reveal when they turn you around in the chair and the birdies open the curtains that cover the mirror. Those snaps are among my favorite from our PP+ package, as are the ones we got immediately afterward at the front of Sleeping Beauty's castle with them posing and fighting with their swords. And then the swords were confiscated for the day.

My son has an appointment this coming Tuesday. I think he will like it. Esp the colored mohawk.

My sons have longer hair. What would they do with it? There is no way it would stay up, and not sure off Mickey would show up. I know they would enjoy it though. Worth it for longer haired boys?

Can anyone post some pics? I would like to show them to DS and ask him if he wants to do it.

Wow, I had never even heard of the knight's package until this thread. Nice to here that the older kids have enjoyed it. This is definitely something to consider for my DS10. Do you think my DS4 would also enjoy it? My youngest also has long hair so I am also interested to hear what they would do with long hair. Can anyone tell me how much this costs?

This sounds awesome for my DS6 and DS(almost)3!!! I noticed on their website that they have a Capture the Moment photo package with a Disney PP Photographer!!! I'll have my PP+ card on our trip... will there be a extra fee for the Capture the Moment package or will it be free with my PP+ card?!? :confused3

OMGosh... just looked up photos of the Knight Package to show my boys... too cute!!! They love the shield and sword!!! Definitely making reservations for this :goodvibes

According to the PP+ website, the BBB photos are included! Loving this pp+

I'm so glad you asked. I came back here to note that none of my boys got mohawks because the stylists said their hair was too long, even at a mere three inches. I felt like it was more because they have thick, curly hair that probably needed to be seriously straightened before you even try to spike it. So instead they got the "Prince Charming" slicked down look, still with stripes of color, Hidden Mickey on the back (where their hair is much shorter), and Mickey confetti. Not sure what they'd do with bona-fide long hair, like someone with shoulder-length or even a chin-length bob, but the stripes and confetti should all be do-able. I might call ahead and ask, or if you are a walk-in, like we were, making a reservation there in the park in person, you can have them look at your sons and determine what they can do.

So, here we are on Nov 10 at BBB:

A bit of the process on my eldest, age 7.9yo

The youngest was not quite three, so he just hopped in the chair and got a spritz of pixie dust so he could feel like his brothers.
Now out to the castle:

Can you tell me how much it was to buy the sword and shield for your little guy TigerLilyAJ??

My eldest son got his hair done a couple years ago and his sword and shield are treasured possessions, but they are getting a little tired. So we are planning on booking him and his sister in when we are at the park this summer, but my youngest son is several months too young, but he will desperately want a shield too.

For kids under 3yo (so they can't get the real BBB knight's package because the chemicals in the color-streaking stuff is not approved for use on children that young), they just sold us the sword and shield for, I believe, the same price as the package. I just remember it was a little less than I expected, because I think the boutique's a la carte price for the sword plus the price of the shield are a dollar or two more than the package that includes both! Maybe they charged us less because we were already buying two full-on knight's packages? Either way, less than $20, and they put the kids' names on them with "Sir" ("Sir Henry," "Sir Aidan," etc) on printable stickers that have, so far, stayed on. It's a good deal.
