Better Quality Scrapper Trading Pins for sale on Ebay or Amazon

My kids have grown to love pin trading. I know most are scrappers or seconds, but they don't really care (we also buy good pins from the stores at DL and CA and those we don't trade with). My question is, has anyone found an online shop either Ebay or Amazon to buy better quality scrappers in bulk (50 or 100 count)? Just wondering who has found a good quality bulk pin place online, and would you please post a link to the shop for me please (if that isnt allowed can you PM me)? My last two purchases were not very good quality or good pins in general. but they worked for trading....Thank you so much!

Hard to say whether this is allowed on this site or not, but guests that participate in flooding the pin trading experience with known fakes are the reason why I do not pin trade anymore.

OP - you bought fake pins previously...what do you expect the quality to be like?

agreed knowingly buying fake pins to trade is just wrong full stop. Every fake pin in circulation devalues the real genuine pins and in essence you are committing fraud. You might see pin trading as just something fun for your kids, no harm done but pin trading is not a kids thing. Also like PP said, you are buying fakes, do you really expect them to be the same quality as the genuine ones?

Just dont buy fakes and do the decent thing and only trade the genuine pins bought in Disney stores or in the parks

then buy random pins from the Disney store or when you get to the park and use these GENUINE pins to trade with CMs to get GENUINE Cars pins. THATS how pin trading works, you trade pins you dont want for pins you do want!

You want to buy pins that you know are fake to trade, where they might be taken off the board by another guest who will think it's a genuine pin before a CM can inspect and remove it? And you're going to take genuine pins from CMs in exchange for the pins you know are fake. I think it's a nice policy for Disney to accept scrappers because many guests think they have real pins and may have been scammed by another trader. But actually trading a large volume of scrappers on purpose is abusing Disney's generous policy and it's scamming both Disney and other guests.

So here is my thing, we have traded "good" pins in the past and we always got the fake pins in return. I figured everyone just used fake pins... if I wanted to trade with others for "good" pins, then I would go to a trader spot with other disney pins lovers and trade good pins (which I have done before as well). But my kids dont care, and 99% of the pins we trade for are fakes, so why should I put up my good pins, if they are going to get fake pins... I have seen good fake pins in the parks, this guy had a huge ziplock full of nice quality fake pins, I should have just asked him but got distracted while buying pins from the shop...

@RobertaMomof2 YOUR kids dont mind, BUT you are putting FAKE pins into circulation, which other pin traders certainly do mind,which is just not right. Everyone does not just use FAKE pins, and you are just adding to the problem. Just stop being such a cheapskake and buy real genuine pins from Disney shops. Teach your kids the difference between right and wrong!

Seriously? We do buy real genuine pins, we are not cheapskates, trust me. But when the majority of the pins on the boards ARE fakes, then I am not going to be the one to put up our good pins. You need to calm down a bit and watch your tone with others, just because we are online doesn't mean you should be rude to others. We came to realize they were fakes on accident while at the park and talking to a CM, so I assumed everyone just used the "scrappers" to trade with. No need to be rude to me when I didn't even realize what was happening.

and yes posting a thread asking for information where to buy 100s of pins CHEAPLY is being a cheapskake..

The difference in the pins on CMs lanyards since our trip in 2013 was crazy. My DD12 decided to not trade last week because of the poor quality pins everywhere. She chose a few special pins to buy, but there was no trading fun to be had.

I know (or assumed) all the pins on the boards are fake, I haven't seen any real pins out there and nor did we trade for real pins. So there is no fraud to be had, I just figured that all the pins were fake and like I said if I wanted to trade REAL pins I would go to the trader people who sit at the tables and trade with them or with regular people walking around. I am sorry if I hit a nerve but I am in no way trying to trade fake pins for real ones, and I am not defensive, just pointing out your tone could be nicer, since I was not aware of the issue. but THATS what you a doing when you ASSUME all pins are fake, because they are most certainly NOT. There are tons of real pins out there, on CM lanyards and on the boards in the shops. The only reason there are so many fakes out there is because of people like you.

and yes, let this be a lesson learned for others out there, DONT BUY THE JOB LOTS OF FAKE PINS as you are just contributing to the problem and ruining the trading experience for everyone else

All of the pins on CM lanyards are real at the start of the day. I'm not sure if every board really gets brand new pins every morning anymore. But if you see a pin on a board that you know is fake, and you only want real pins, don't trade for it. Alert the CM and they have extras to trade out. Saying that other people traded fake pins to the board so it's ok for me to buy and pass off fake pins does not make it ok. There are guests out there who are buying real pins from Disney and trading for what they think are real pins. It's not up to other guests to decide it's ok to scam those people with fakes they bought on eBay. Disney does accept those pins but they don't do it to make pin trading cheaper for guests. They do it because it's a bad experience for a guest who has been unknowingly scammed with fake pins to be turned away. Doing it on purpose is abusing a generous policy. I won't be surprised when guests can only trade mystery pins that are purchased and opened in front of the CM because so many people think it's ok to steal genuine pins by handing over fakes in exchange.

Maybe that is my issue, we only ever traded pins on the boards in the afternoons. Maybe that is why I only saw the fake pins out there? I will let the kids check the boards and such in the AM and only trade then with their good pins. If they get a fake it isn't a huge deal if it is a collection they are trying for (and it is out of circulation at the stores, which is what I am finding with what they want). Any tips on REAL pins from old collections that are no longer sold in the parks?
