Best time to ride Rise of Resistance?

Will be at Disneyland for one day on Wednesday, March 19 and wondering best time to ride ROR? Should we rope drop or wait until 1-2hr after park opening? Last time we paid to skip the line, but with the CAD dollar being as bad as it is, seems crazy to pay $150CAD for 4ppl to ride one ride. I’ve read it often doesn’t open right at park opening so don’t want to waste rope drop waiting for it to open. There is no parade when we are there and don’t want to leave it until late at night in case the ride breaks down (will happily ride it a second time at night if time allows!) I am thinking tops dropping Fantasyland and then trying ROR at 9am?

When it is open. Which is very hit and miss. If it is something you really want to do, I would just get in line and hope for the best.

Last time we were there we went during fireworks and walked on 2 times in a row. This was a weekend in October. Other option is rope drop, but in general the lines at night have been a lot lower when we’ve been.

I had success last summer getting in line during fireworks around 9:40. Posted wait was 45, actual wait to first preshow was 20. Just make sure to get in line before it closes at 10 (it closes then even if park is open until midnight).

Came in here to post this! We have the best luck getting in line during the fireworks. Usually 20-30 mins to pre show.

That’s a tough question. We have had good and bad luck riding: at rope drop (front of the line and walking briskly), 1 hr after rope drop 9:00 am (if it is down at rope drop), 6 pm and during fireworks/fantasmic. Long story short, it is sometimes unreliable for rope drop, in our experience, later evening is slightly more predictable but you may also encounter long wait times if the attraction has been down multiple times during the day.

As mentioned, the standby line closes at 10PM.

I’m not there but crowds look pretty light at DL at the moment. ROTR is showing a 15 minute wait, same as Indy. Most everything is 5-15 minutes, sans BTM and SM at 30 minutes each. What a difference from last nite!

We've had good luck between 5-7pm on weekends. The standby line usually slows to ~30 minutes around then before the post-dinner and pre-fireworks rush. Once we managed to go twice on standby within an hour.

We have generally kept an eye on the wait times and gone when it hits an hour or less. Once on our last trip the wait was posted at 30 min. We waited about 10 min and then the ride went down. Stuck it out another 20 min or so (had seating, luckily) and gave up, I don't think the ride came back online for hours after that. But another time the wait was 35 min and was really more like 20 to get to the stormtrooper room.
